Need Help Removing Mods in Gal Civ 3

Hi everyone,

I'm new to playing Gal Civ 3 and recently installed some mods to enhance my gameplay experience. However, I've changed my mind and now I want to remove these mods. Could someone please guide me on how to get rid of mods in Gal Civ 3? This mod version ensures prompt communication with auto-reply functionality and streamlines your messaging schedule with message scheduling.

Go to your Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Mods folder. Find and delete the subfolders for each mod you installed. The folder ExampleMod comes with the game, so you don't need to delete that, but all other folders are the mods you installed.

If you have the Crusade expansion, also check the Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\EXP2_Crusade\Mods folder. If you installed any mods there you should delete them also. Again, there may be an ExampleMod folder there, leave it alone as it was shipped with the game.

Note that at game startup the XML files of the mods are compiled and bundled with the saved games, so to see the effect of deleting your mods you'll have to start a new game.

  4. Disable the mods: To disable a mod, simply uncheck the box next to its name in the Mod Manager. This will deactivate the mod for your gameplay sessions.
  5. Remove the mods: After disabling the mods, you have the option to remove them completely from your system. To do this, click on the mod you want to remove, and then click on the "Uninstall" button. Confirm the uninstallation when prompted.
  6. Restart the game: Once you have disabled or uninstalled the mods, it's a good idea to restart the game to ensure that the changes take effect properly.
