Balance

I hope the development team really focuses on a well ballenced game, this will help make it more popular. I played a game where the A.I. built nothing but 3 types a  of ships the robotics cruser (repair) the strike craft carrier (Percheron Carrier Cruser) and a bunch of crusers. This took out a good sized fleet of my capital ships with no way of coming back. Let's just sit and build these instead of advancing research save. Bunch of money.  Gamers love the huge fleets big fights and ability to re build. Many companies have a team specifically for Balancing and re balancing.

We are definitely looking into improving the Ai and we are now starting to spend a lot more time improving the balance.

200 armor given to bombers, is a lot especialy since any weapons able to hit them have very low penetratiion.

TEC starbase weapons, the base weapons seem overnerfed.

Vasari starbase is roughly comparable to previously strong TEC starbase.

TEC base defense now has about 5 dps, nerf from ? 20? (I dont remember) but it had 4 weapons of said DPS.

I do realize HP counts were brought down to SoaSE:R levels

Gauss defense has now like 15 dps, compared to 5 ? Great.

Something is quite fishy with those numbers. Ill take a more proper look still.

I did take a more proper look, so it is not 200 armor but 5 armor and 200 hp :P so my mistake and the numbers seem generally ok.

Damage numbers are reduced greatly and penetration values have been I think well managed.

However the new Vas faction has some really great armor numbers where you end up with around 100 armor for skirmisher, 220 for heavy cruiser.

So, the current results, when I played as TEC Reb, or against them, was that my skirmishers, some 40 of them tanked fortress damage very efficiently. Capital ships with armor of a TEC fortress. TEC missiles had their pen reduced, but still, they are like the only thing that did actual damage. 

TEC base turret that is now very cheap has 5 dps, like a cobalit frigate. Approximately. It now has only one turret. Not 4. Turrets did get more armor, so a good thing. 2 military slots. Then, for 2 same slots we have Gauss turret, which has 120 (from 100) penetration, has about 15 dps. Compared to the basic turret with 5 dps and 40 penetration.

New Vas faction has a 3 military slots turret, which has around 11 dps, x3. I suppose penetration is 44. Instead of a Gauss, they have a missile turret, which has only 1 weapon.

Considering they are new, it is not bad, but the impression I got is that the new faction seems very tanky because some of the lower tier weapons got penetration nerfs as well as dps too. New faction reminds me a bit of a 'Reaper' mod which unfortunately didnt get finished (last was like 2019) for SoaSE:R. The jumping in the system and colonizing it seems pretty awesome. Like Reaper Vanguard sort of.
