Insider Build 1.55 - No farms, No Probes and Interstellar Drives mass 52?

Hi

Have downloaded the latest version of the Insider Build and seem to be getting the same issue no matter what race I'm playing:

1. I can't build any farms. I've checked the tech tree but nothing seems to be locked behind research. This is currently a massive problem if playing an organic race for obvious reasons.

2. When I first go to the Shipyard, there are no Probes available to build. However I can make my own from the ship designer.

3. Interstellar drives and unshielded drives have a mass of 52 and 55 respectively. That's kinda heavy.

Not sure that's intentional of course, and the second 2 aren't nearly as important as the first. It's hard to build an empire if you can't keep them fed.

Request:  When making a custom race is there a method of making my own custom citizens with their own traits? at the moment I  get the traits of whatever of the standard factions I have to choose. It doesn't really matter but seems a bit of an oversight. I have imported a load of AI generated pics of my cybernetic arachnoids.  They come up fine, thanks!

Thank you for the feedback, If enough similar requests are made, I can put a proposal together for the team

I'm not seeing that issue.  Maybe post a saved game for them to check.

Thanks for the reply:

I think the farm issue was a conflict with my custom race being cybernetic, but my citizens being organic  - my populations were definitely growing, but I think the cybernetic trait was preventing me from building farms?  If you're building a custom cybernetic race you do seem to be lumbered with Yor citizens if you are following the theme through.

I think a few people were having issues with building the probes, so that's probably been addressed elsewhere.

As for the drive mass, I think that got corrected in one of the latest patches. It certainly seemed to be resolved last game I played.

I think it's the cybernetic race trait messing things up.  I'm not sure what the right solution is here.

So is the problem that when a Cybernetic Race conquers a non-Cybernetic Race the other races need food to survive and a Cybernetic can't produce food?  Would a Cybernetic race even care about other races (well maybe if they were really Benevolent)/
Maybe just take away the penalty for low food for Cybernetic races and let the non-cybernetic races on their planets die off.  It's a cruel Universe and only Cybernetic beings are truly efficient }:)

Yeah this was definitely the custom creation for me - if you're creating a Cybernetic race, you'll be needing Cybernetic citizens! Is that something that can be added to the custom race  creation,  being able to create your own citizen as well? Maybe that should be locked in though - Cybernetic race = Cybernetic citizens regardless.
