Crash

Slowly it's not fun anymore, the game keeps crashing to the desktop. It doesn't matter how big the galaxy is or how many opponents I play with. Details screwed down, no success.

Trial version and standard version, both the same.

Deinstallation, new installation of Win 10, checked files several times, without errors.

my system

windows 10

Ryzen 7 5800X3D

64GB Ram

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

Hello, would you be kind enough to provide the most recent save related to the crash in a dropbox link, and help outline the situation where it occurred so we can look into this?

The reverting to lvl 1 has been there from the start and IMHO is a good thing you should be punished for replacing a Grand Admiral with a seaman apprentice.

I never recruit a command ship with a diligence or resolve less than 9, the other two stats mean nothing to the ship's ability. Also avoid morale below 6o and gift them Harmony Crystals as fast as I can till they are at 75 or more.

Game crashing is a problem not the loss of experience though.

Sid Meyers Civilization purposely included crash bugs at midpoints in their games so their userbase would restart and the development team could gather more data to improve early and mid play. Its supposedly been documented a large percentage of players will cease playing a game once they have beaten it a single time but those same players will repeatedly begin new games if the game crashes before they are able to win. I hope Stardock doesn't do that. That would be malevolent.

No, that is not a practice Stardock endorses or utilizes. These types of issues are being looked into.

I don;t like civilization past 4.  I loved 4 though best non space civ hame.  That 1 unit 1 tile stuff is a pain also in post civ 4  economy sucks cool graphics though.  They made civ too slow with no productivity.  those corporations ruled.  But yeah I hate crashing

How does that work and where can I find the file?

Should be something like:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\GalCiv4\Saves

Replace "USERNAME" with your username

It is fine, we do not need you to load it. Just go to the direction, where I told you, and upload the save file, so that we can work directly with it!

the crashing is random  mostly on load and others

Where can I upload the file? Where do I click in this forum?

The best way to do so is to provide a dropbox link
