I am not sure if this causes issues with stardock apps also, but the newset part of Windows 11 updates causes issues with tools, that deal with explorer and cause loop restarts of explorer.exe.

ExplorerPatcher and StartAllBack. are named, but other candidates COULD be Start11 and WindowBlinds I guess.

Oh, sorry, I didn't see these two related as this is about explorer crashing constantly.

Ah. I didn't see the restart thing.

Nothing should be causing restarts with our apps.

Purely a visual issue.

I think, there is a clear misunderstanding here. I only wanted to inform, that there maybe issues for some users (as I read here some use ExplorerPatcher) because of this update. I am NOT affected by this. That is, why I was posting the external link.

Also I didn't say in any word that I have issues on my machine. ;-)

THIS IS NOT intended as a Start 11 bug repoting thread. I just wanted to warn people that  there maybe issues with the latest update if they have ExplorerPatcher or StartAllback installed and that it COULD also be a potential danger to Start11 or WindowBlinds.

"After installing KB5022913 or later updates, Windows devices with some third-party UI customization apps might not start up," Microsoft said.

"These third-party apps might cause errors with explorer.exe that might repeat multiple times in a loop. The known affected third-party UI customization apps are ExplorerPatcher and StartAllBack."

Did anyone read the linked article, for god's sake?

Carl...it all made sense to me...

It's good to see that MS is indiscriminate with who or what it causes issues for with its new OS versions/updates...;)

I read the article c242 during the update being downloaded and installed, it may have possibly saved my Bacon. I Took Steps based on your topic to make sure my set up "StartAllBack and Using Themes" could install the update without it effecting my set up.

A Huge Thankyou from me, and cheers for posting about issues which effect All Of Those who Customise, either that be Themes or WB+Start 11.
