Task bar transparency in windows 11 22621.1344 gone

Beta 1.4.02 is still not brining 100% transparency back..

Sorry, i was too fast with my feedback. The reboot seems to be really required, not just explorer restart. After reboot it is transarent.

Yes a reboot would be required to replace Start11 files which may be in use.  Glad to hear it is all working now.

The SW is extreme buggy, intransprency come often back...

I am sorry you are still having problems.

I would recommend uninstalling Start11,rebooting (very important do not skip this) and then reinstalling the very latest Start11 beta 1.4.0.5.

Another user was still experiencing issues and this resolved them.

If it continues it would be very useful to know what triggers it stopping working as our testing is unfortunately not showing any problems with this and we have a lack of other outstanding bug reports on this.

ive installed new beta. As Bloodstorm - gaming is killing the transparency..

The build from today?  1.41?

That has a fix for transparency when you have blur disabled.

I will try right the new beta now to test. Will let you know. I was on the 1.4.0 beta

Still broken. Blur is disabled, transparency is at 1% and when launching a game and doing alt+ tab it goes to solid color. Even after exiting the game. 

I have disabled blur, it is still switchign to grey instead tranparent after gaming.

You need to install the 1.41 beta of Start11 as you appear to have installed the optional preview update of Windows 11.

Once installed all should be fine.

There will be no fix for this broken functionality? The betas have been discontinued but the transparency functionality is still broken

Cannot reproduce on my machine, what games? single or Multi-Monitor? Can you provide video of the issue happening?

Single screen, always after gaming the transparency is gone.

I dont know how produce such video, using nvidia drivers i can record ingame, this will not make the issue visible.

I will create screenshots...

before gaming:

after gaming, dx12 (darktide) or zombie army 4 (vulkan)

After the game close it may flicker, 2-3 seconds later it is intranspartent.

I need to go to the start11 app and move the transparence slider and then it become transparent again

We think we have a workaround for this internally.

Hopefully can get a beta with it out soon.
