This issue occurred after the update. The icon on the tile should all have a transparent background. However, now it is all black.

Moreover, I want to open the start11 page with the pinned tiles page instead of the list of all apps. However, now, in default, it is always showing the list of apps.

I think you may have changed some of your settings by mistake.

It sounds like you have enabled the option "Start menu should open showing all programs list" in Start11 which will solve your second issue.

On the first issue I think you were reporting this with 1.39 too?

What icon size do you have set for groups and do you have the option for loading up custom static tile images?

The system tray keeps cutting off randomly, as seen below.  As soon as I take a screenshot using screen snip, it fixes itself, but will happen again shortly after.

Using 1.4.1.0 (also happened with other 1.4 versions) and Moments 2.

We have not seen this nor can we reproduce it.

That is a bottom-aligned TB with autohide off, yes?

How many items do you have on your systray?

When it happens, if you drag the taskbar to double height, does it resolve it?  If so, does dragging it back keep it fixed?

Does a restart of Windows Explorer resolve it, and if so, is it temporary?

Please post a Winver screenshot.

Since you have not been able to reproduce, I'm going to include as much information as possible:

ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

How many items do you have on your systray? SEE SCREENSHOTS BELOW.

I HAVE IT THE TASKBAR SIZE LOCKED SO CANNOT RESIZE.

Does a restart of Windows Explorer resolve it, and if so, is it temporary?

YES, AND IT IS TEMPORARY.  ALSO, SIMPLY TAKING A SCREENSHOT ALSO RESOLVES IT TEMPORARILY.

As a test, does the same problem happen if you set Start11 to left align mode rather than the experimental centre mode?

The 1.36 version displayed properly but with a touch screen alot of times the microsoft start menu would launch.  The 1.4 appears to impoved that issue, but these is a clipping or centering issue now with the display of the taskbar icons, clock, etc.  They are at the very top of the taskbar and not centered.  That behavior does change to the correct view when you slide up then it's auto hiding.

What version of Start11 exactly do you have installed?  There is a 1.41 beta released today which is the latest.

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing please.

I am indeed using the latest 1.41.  This is on a Surface Pro 7 using the touch mode.  It does flip to the proper display depending on what window or start menu you did, but I haven't worked out the combination required.

Feedback to 1.4.1.0:

  1. Clicking on grouped windows is still not opening the previews to select the window.
  2. Icons are much bigger, I think a little bit too big. On some apps you can miss with app is open because the bar under almost joins with the icon:
  3. Tooltips are still strangely far from icon:
  4. Still it would be nice to resize the system icons:
  5. Still restarting explorer causes it to freeze for a bit of time.

But generally, it's close to be perfect :-)

EDIT: Ok I found one serious issue - when starting computer the taskbar is freezed for first +/- minute - on screen #1 it's the nice small Start11 taskbar, on screen #2 it displays the stock Windows taskbar but without any icons except Windows, Search, Workspaces and date, on screen #3 it looks like on #2 but is slightly taller. After a minute all taskbars refreshes to the Start11 but (and here is the issue) - the system tray is almost empty, contains only some from many running apps. And it's not like the apps are not running, they are visible in task manager, if I open the apps the instantly shows but still not appearing in system try. So basically 2/3 of apps that should be visible in system try are not there even when the apps are running. It's not happening when enhanced taskbar is disabled. When I restart explorer everything is back to normal.

Here is how the freezed taskbars looks during the startup:

Here is system try after startup, before restarting explorer:

And after restarting explorer:

EDIT 2: Randomly all taskbars switched green o.O

Hi. Updating to 1.4.0.2 fixed the invisible clock and system tray icons but now the Start Button and System tray icons along with clock and notifications are really slow to respond.  It takes between 1 and 10 seconds after clicking for any menu to appear.  Normal taskbar icons for pinned apps respond instantly

You are a little behind in betas.

Anything newer than 1.4.0.2 fixed that I think.

1.41 is the latest

Last version of Windows

22621.1344

At last search is centered :inlove:

but right click on windows logo is displayed a extrem left of the screen

Thats known and will remain in the 1.41 release.  The feature is labelled as experimental so it is one of those things as it doesn't stop anything being used.

ok

but what I didn't see was the inability to click on items inside the start menu.

- start menu: not using of start 11 menu

- search menu: not using of search 11

- only using let start enhance taskbar /  center experimental

anyone having issues with the "optional" update on win11?

as soon as i enable taskbar changes in start11 explorer goes a bit cookoo. (taskbar turns totaly transparent and becomes unresponsive, half the running taskbar icons (near the clock) go missing etc

Start11_1.4.1.0-j294-Setup_sd

(the beta as of today)

i couldn't even get a screen shot of it :( after pc going wild it eventually seems to work after a few explorer updates but somehow makes my i9 feel like a celeron

-------

eventually got it right to open word and paste a print screen into that. (it took a lot of tries)

the rest of the app seems to work ok. just the taskbar part. for now i have it disabled
