KB5022913 breaks taskbar texture / transparency for Start11

System applied KB5022913 overnight and rebooted to an updated Taskbar, which added a different Search Box, and Hidden Icons box changed format.  All my customizations for the taskbar, being an applied texture and transparency, is no longer working, despite being shown as enabled in Start11.  On 1.39.1

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, look like you on Insider preview Channel. Which is not supported by Stardock. However we appreciate your report.

Thank you.

I get the release preview and lost all hidden icons too this morning and couldn't apply some S11 customisations - it's on its way for all users soon I suspect.

We have an update for this in internal testing which should be released before that version is released to normal users (vs those in preview)

Thank you, Neil.  I think that many of us who work in IT may have our own Windows 11 computers on the Release Preview channel so that we can see and work with the final changes that are coming for the next major Windows release (vs Beta and Dev channels which are more experimental).  I love using Start 11 but hope that in the future maybe Stardock could focus a bit more on the Release Preview channel so that any issues or bugs can be worked out in advance of any new release to the main Windows release channel.  I think that customers in the RP channel would also like to get these Start 11 beta builds early as well to help with testing and provide feedback.

Should be an update next week with support for that preview build.

Thanks a lot Neil, no hurry from my side!
I'm still very happy with this program.
What about a Beta Version of Start11 so we can play with such situations and support each other?

I'm not in the preview channel and was offered this update and it did indeed break Start11 compatibility. I lost my tray icons. I'm currently uninstalling the update to wait for the Start11 update.

We have no idea what Microsoft are thinking, last we had heard the update was for the 14th March which gives nobody any time to deploy any compat updates required.

To clarify my post, it was offered as an optional update -- so it won't install by itself, you have to select it yourself. But loads of people are going to do that, so I thought I would mention it here that it is now being offered outside the preview channel.

Unfortunately we have a customer base who is more likely to install it.

The beta 1.4 update from a few hours ago (1.4.0.2) should address the issues and everything should be back as it was.

I'll install the Windows update again and see if the new Start11 beta fixes the issue I had. Thanks :)
