Favorite Application

What is your most frequently used application within Object Desktop, and what about it makes it the most useful for you?

Most frequent would have to be Start11, it's "Always".  Also "Always" is either WB or Curtains. "Why" for all three is the same - No matter what the default Win O/S looks like, I'll get tired of looking at it.

DeskScapes is close behind, it's just plain fun. :)

For me it was objectdock. Was such a useful application back in the early days. I had many shortcuts to applications and folders on hand without taking up valuable space on the taskbar. Sad that it has not gotten the treatment like all the other apps recently. Its tabbed dock feature was super unique and to this day beats the winstep dock by a mile in terms of use for me. It did not feel clunky and just worked. Would love to see a W11 update to it even if you have to scrap some of the docklets that don't work anymore that cost to much money to keep working (weather).

An old screenshot from back on windows 7 using Stardock Windowblinds, Fences 1 and Objectdock Plus (Tabbed Mode)

My fave? WB above all. Then comes Start11 because WB can't do it alone. Then, Fences.

*edit: gotta add Rightclick to that list.

As a user, I would have to go with WindowFX (even though it is not in ObjectDesktop)

Curtains/Start11

For me it's a tie between WB and IconPackager. I use both of those apps constantly, constantly, constantly. And bringing up the rear in a close 3rd spot would be Start11.

As I'm still primarily on Win 7 ...I don't need Start 10/11 [but they are on other comps] ...so my number one thingie is Fences...;)

Windowblinds is by far the most used and appreciated Stardock app for me, followed by IconPackager, and in later years Start Menu Products. Without Windowblinds, I more than likely would have looked elsewhere for customization.

Start 11.

I would have bet you'd have chosen Rightclick...which I loved dearly.

It's not included in newer subs, it was removed before I started working here

If I would have to choose any dead cow, it would be DesktopX. :-)

And I forgot IconPackager. Still switch to Apogee, as it is the most complete Iconset EVER.

Happy I jumped back on here. I thought I might be the only one still using objectdock. I forgot most that have been mentioned here. WindowBlinds, Fences Etc Real Good Stuff

Before Win 11, i would use WB, Iconpackager and Start 10, never could work with the boring original desktop, so they would be my go to programs for any new Windows install.
