Problem with start menu in WB 11.00 BETA 3 (010 x64 - Windows 11 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Problem with start menu in WB 11.00 BETA 3 (010 x64 - Windows 11 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Glyph opens before panels and stays behind them.

Ran into a problem with one of my fave oldie skins MI6 by Vampothika

https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/6921/

The problem is, as stated above, the glyph opens before the 2 start menu panels and stays behind them. Amazingly, the animation works like a champ.

Skinners and devs, any solution for this?

Specs:

Windows 11 Core 22H2 (22621.ni_release.220506-1250)
WindowBlinds 11.00 BETA 3 (010 x64 - Windows 11 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Window titlebar blur features are enabled on this operating system

Wblind.dll 2022/11/22 18:08:38
Wblind64.dll 2022/11/22 18:08:58
Wbsrv.dll 2022/11/22 18:08:33
WB11Config.exe 2022/11/22 18:07:08
Wbload.dll 2022/11/22 18:08:38
Screen10.exe 2022/11/22 18:07:45

Here's an image of the problem:

The fix will let you have animations enabled as well.

Well, I won't object too strenuously.

What about Fences' problem ...or mine with it? Updated WB today, btw. Had any further thoughts?

Turning off "Animate the menu when opening it" may bring the start menu animations to the front. That works on my Windows 10 Home 22H2 (1905.2311)

Thank you Jan. I went to use Plastic Fantastic Christmas and the blinking Christmas lights on the start panel were behind the start panel. I've seen a few glitches on some other skins but this was the worst. Anyway your fix, Jan Oscar, works!!! Thanks

Not for me! All three skins animate but those elements appear behind the menu no matter whether the animate on opening setting is on or off. If it's on then the animation plays before the menu covers it but it's still covered either way. Why just me? I'm on Windows 10, latest Start11 and WB11 versions.

Are you running WinFX, if so, you can try turning it off, and see what happens.  Because when I did Red Christmas, people was having issues with the animation hiding behind the start menu, and 2 solutions brought to my attention was to turn off "animation" in Start10/Start11, and the other, was to turn off WinFX, if that doesn't work, then we'll have to wait for the updated version of Start11....

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not running it, Don. :)

Make sure you are using Start11 1.35.  You will need this version.  If it continues, try uninstalling Start11, rebooting and reinstalling Start11 1.35

Turning off WinFX and the Start Menu animation does indeed fix this. Bit of a shame really as this is sort of why we use all this software!   Oh well, not the end of the world and it's something will get fixed eventually I'm sure.

Very happy to have these working again.     Have a couple of skins still installed that have animations I had honestly forgotten about, and a couple which were painfully obvious. ;)

I don't use Windows fx, MagikGimp...but thanks for your effort to help me. The latest Fences4, Start11 and Windowblinds versions have solved the problem.

Doc,

Have you tried this? Try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Is it theme specific issue or Dark/light mode issue?

I had the same version as Doc, so I downloaded wb from my account page after reading this. I uninstalled, rebooted and deleted the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\WindowBlinds because there were still lots of files still there. Installed with the newly downloaded installer and still have this:

Doc & Jan,

There is a mix-up on my part, I am running a test build not the latest release, the fix for the Fences issue will be coming with the next update
