WindowBlinds 11 Beta on windows 10 start menu skin don't work

Hello,

I just tried the trial version of windowblinds 11 on Windows 10.

But the skin does not apply to the start menu, I tried several but same problem.

Do you have any idea?

Is the trial version restricted?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. To change Windows 10 start menu you will need to have Start10 or Start11 install. Do you have any of this installed?

Thanks

Sorry but WindowBlinds skining only Windows GUI, not menu start. Use free open shell if you want change start orb and menu start. Do not use Start10 or Start11 bacause they not apply correct start orbs aka some start orbs is too small.

Trial works only 30 days. WB not skinning start menu because stardock sells separate start 8/10/11.

That is not true, Windowblinds do skin Startmenu. It just that you will need Start8/10/11 to have it work in Windows 8/10/11. This happened since Microsoft decide to have new Startpanel since Windows 8. You do not to have separate application to Skin start panel if you on Windows 7.

Just to expand on this... Currently windowblinds only skins the old windows 7 style. Skinning windows 10 / 11 style is in the works but is slated for a later release.

Actually WB11 will skin the 10/11 styles in the current beta.  You need Start11 obviously and no skins have the required parts right now.  SKS11 has them defined ready for someone to use.

Thanks for your advice.

So I installed windowblinds 11 and Start11

I added this skin :

https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/9427/

but it doesn't work completely. Only the environment changes but not the start menu.

The skin I chose does not apply to the start menu.

It is also impossible to choose another orb in Start11, I choose another orb but nothing changes.

Maybe I should use version Windowblins 10 and Start10 ?

You must disable start orb in windowblinds.

Your screenshot of the Start panel look correct. Below is how it look on my system and comparing to how it suppose to look, its look the same. Which area does not appear as you expected?

Oh yeah thank's

I finally found out why the menu was so transparent. Just a proper setting.

I have a question.

How to enlarge the start menu so that the texts are written in full ?

Example on my image: Panneau de configur...

I want to see : Panneau de configuration.

Try adjust the "Make menu font bigger or smaller" (Start Menu > Configuration > Visual appearance)

This does not change anything.

But if I decrease the size of the text I will have trouble reading it.

Can't we enlarge the skin of the start menu?

If you using Windows 7 style, without grid mode, the text will have wider space to display your text.
