Red tone bug

I have an annoying problem in the game, practically every object is rendered with a red tone. Everything like ships, planets and buildings is tinged with red. I tried to reinstall the game but it always gives me the same error.
The error is:
"Red Tone bugAssert in the log file in \ Documents \ sins2_pre_alpha \ logs \ <log name> "

Are you running an intel video card?

Yes, this is a big problem. Intel on board GPUs don't have enough power to render the game. Sorry, but you need to upgrade.

No, there's no problem with your computer, it's a bug the dev team must fix.

There's nothing wrong with your card, if its a new one it has more than enough power to run this game or any new game.

Dev team, FIX IT.

I also have the same issue, intel xe graphics, I can run almost every game without any issue, but this one, well you can see what happens. I already requested refund to Epic, maybe I'll buy it once fixed, idk. It's sad, cause I'm a veteran of this franchis. Also nobody from dev team replies, so idk if it's related to our graphic or it's only a bug. Who knows.

I'll be sure to share your concerns with the team. I know it's been a regularly seen situation with integrated graphics running the game.

Thank you! Can't wait to have it fixed, I really love whole series, also I can understand the work behind making a game, so it's not an attack or somewhat!

Same issue for me with the red tone.  I have a new laptop - hp spectre - that I'm running the game on.  I've already purchased, so just looking to know when a fix has been released. Let us know if there are any updates. Thanks!

I assume here that you guys all use the integrated intel "GPU"? If someone here has another problem, sorry in advance.

This is not a bug they should fix:

Just in general, this is hillarious. If you've played pretty much any non-browser game you would know that not everything (any card, which a iGPU is actually not) can run this or any new game.

Just in general, unfortunately, you guys didn't read the minimum required specifications, which state:

  • WHAT ARE THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS?

    Minimum

    • Windows 10 v1607 or Higher / 11 64-bit
    • 4-core Processor (Intel Core i5 5th-generation or AMD Ryzen 2x00 series)
    • 8GB System RAM
    • 3D Video Card w/2GB VRAM (Nvidia GeForce 950 / AMD Radeon RX 450)
    • 20 GB available disk space
    • 1920x1080 minimum screen resolution

    Recommended

    • Windows 10 v1607 or Higher / 11 64-bit
    • 8-core Processor (Intel Core i7 9th-generation or AMD Ryzen 3x00 series)
    • 16GB System RAM
    • 3D Video Card w/4GB+ VRAM (Nvidia GeForce 1060 or AMD Radeon 580)
    • 20 GB available disk space
    • 1920x1080 minimum screen resolution

It is not and should not be a priority to support iGPUs. If you bought the game, I hope you can get a refund.

Of course, but I play other games, such as Hell let loose, SQUAD, insurgency, GTA V, call to arms, men of war etc etc etc.. but I still can play them High or Ultra without any bug. Idk guys.

I have a hard time believing that (Intel's Iris Xe Graphics Preview: Is Real Gaming Power in Reach for Thin-and-Light Laptops? | PCMag), regardless, if you buy below the minimum specs, you really have brought it on yourself. Always check the specs.

Bro, I already requested a refund months ago, already received back my money, I just can't understand why this only happens with this specific game. Believe it or not, I can still play these games with high graphics, of course, I know my PC limits it's not an Alienware 🤣 but I mean, I'm not playing Cyberpunk with ultra graphics, so I think my poor miserable laptop is enough for running this game lol. I can make more examples, such as Warhammer Darktide? It started to crash and have Endless graphics bug, but then after many updates I can run it smoothly with High graphics, I think it's something related to optimization. But I may be wrong, I'm not an engineer, just a guy who loves sin of a solar empire.

Also, no one from dev team said, bro don't buy our game if you don't have a gaming PC afaik. They clearly said that they're having many situations similar to mine, so I think it's better to wait for a reply imo.

This has been discussed on the discord server. The minimum requirements are there for a reason, so that a dev doesn't have to keep answering "these are the requirements" to everyone who can't run the game.

Smarti12, your arrogance and ignorance shine brightly. You spew words as if you hold the absolute truth, yet I can't help but think there's not much else going on in your life.

If the guy says he can run other games, then he can. Every other game works with this card. This one's clearly a bug, but I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

It's been fixed for a while now, by Intel. And you disagree with checking the minimum specs before buying? I hope that's a joke.
