Multiplayer - Server currently unavailable error

Since the beginning of September, I haven't been able to play ranked multiplayer as I keep getting "Server currently unavailable" error.

 

This is what I see in the logs:

I'm on v1.23.48495, and I've tried it on Windows and Mac (both on Steam). Initially, I thought it could be due to a network issue from my ISP (I live in Lebanon), but I got the same error when I tried to connect while in Paris the previous week.

I've tried validating files on Steam, and even un-installing/re-installing the game. I also have no mods installed. Is there anything I could check or provide to debug this and get it resolved?

I tried installing OTC on a very old laptop, and discovered it can connect to multiplayer servers! What's weird is that its version is v1.23.62045, whereas mine is still v23.48495 and unable to connect.

I tried moving the files around and I'm still on the old version.

I fixed the issue. Somehow Steam had the game installed on two drives. It was opening the correct Stardock Launcher from the expected/listed drive, but the launcher was opening the game from the other, hidden path (that was still on the old patch).
