Will the game support LAN play?

Will the game support LAN play?  I'm not sure about everyone else, but one of the best parts of part 1 is that you don't need ANY service to play with friends.  You just connect directly to their system if you want.  Will this feature be a part of the new game as well?

The store page lists playing over LAN, yes. Not a chance Ironclad would sleep on that, they know what we like.

That is great to hear.  I do have a quick question for clarification though.

When I say LAN play (as it supposed to mean), I mean if my friend and I buy the game, and install on two computers on the same network and that are not connected to the internet, can I play with my friend?

I felt the need to ask for this clarification due to the game expected to come from Epic, making me suspect that you would (for no good reason) need to be connected to the internet to play.  And if you need to do that to play, then it is usually more likely that it is not actually 'LAN play' that you are using.

You will need to be connected to the Internet for installation. You may also be required to be connected for EGS itself to launch the game - that I don't know much on yet.
