Basic shapes for ship designer

Good day,

The ship designer feels very limiting to me in its current form.  I know that we don't have a bunch of community mods to add things, however basic 3d shapes seem absent.  I can't find spheres, rectangles,  donuts, cones, cylinders ect.  The existing parts all look ok, but very limiting as they are all like a part of an existing design that really only works at a particular orientation and scale.

I have asked for the Star Control Origins ships and ship parts from GC3 to be added to the game which could somewhat solve this problem. Star Control races have been added to the game but we also need the races ships and ship parts to be added to the ship designer. Star Control ship parts would fullfil the need for the shape parts you described. Please join me in the request to add them to the GC4 game.

This is also something that i have been looking at there are also parts that show in the ship designer parts  list but cannot  be used the star control origins  parts really need to be added they add so much to the  design aspect of the game. Furthermore more cockpit designs would be useful.

The Star control parts will be really helpfull in designing ships with a lot of slopes. Can not wait for the parts to be added. :D

After the last update had another look at parts that are missing/not working..ie..Registration reward  parts that show in parts menu but can not be used frustrating when you port designs from Gal Civ 3 and they are missing lol... Assault fighter parts this is a grouped item wings are out of proportion also the interceptor engine parts out of proportion can this be looked at and maybe  corrected..also have not been able to upload designs has anyone else had this problem.
