Invisible text

I'm using curtains and whenever I use a style that has transparency, blur, or glass effect I get a weird effect when renaming folders using the left-hand panel of windows explorer, the rename box opens but the text in the box is invisible whether it's the original text before I rename or the new text as I'm typing I cannot see it, other styles that don't contain blur, glass or transparency effect working fine.

I've tried both the stable and beta versions of the app but that made no difference, I even completely uninstalled the stable version and rebooted my pc before installing the beta but that also didn't make any difference.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64 Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1706),

I have an Asus Tuf x570 Gaming motherboard with bios and drivers up to date,

Ryzen 7, 5800X CPU [email protected],

Corsair Dominator Platinum Memory 4 x 8 gig strip @3600 Mhz

Zotac RTX 3070 TI OC Edition (Drivers are up to date)

and about 170TB storage in 2 x m.2 drives, 1 SSD drive, 9 Mechanical drives (some external some internal).

I even reinstalled windows 10 and then installed curtains before anything else (apart from my GPU Drivers) but that didn't help either.

I thought it might be a bug in the style so I tried a different style with transparency, blur, or glass but still ran into the same problems.

I tried grabbing some screenshots but the transparency problem doesn't show up using the windows 10 default prtsc option everything shows as solid colours, can you recommend a screen grabber that keeps the transparency effects when you grab and save the image?

Perhaps you can use your phone to take a video of the issue and post it somewhere like youtube and link it here.

I used my phone to take the pictures and like I said it only happens in the left pane of windows explorer and it doesn't matter if I am trying to rename a hard drive or a folder the problem is the same.

Sorry for the large photos.

Not sure on missing text, but on my system it appear just that its white text on very light blue background. but this is what I get when I try it on my system. What Curtains theme you was on while taking those pictures above?

I'm using Transparent/Blur/Aero By Alain but I've tried Twilight on the Edge of Town and got the same result.

If it's caused by the style is there any way to fix it, I love the transparency/glass styles but the colour problems make them awkward to use sometimes.

I tested Transparent/blur/aero and I don't see the issue on my system. Refer to screenshot below. So it must be something else.

Can you try disable HDR and see if that help.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, yes turning HDR off does fix the problem.

Then I have another problem where some games won't let me enable HDR unless it is turned on first in windows (The Division 2 and Horizon Zero dawn are 2 I can think of off the top of my head) which means I now have to start a game and if it needs hdr I have to exit it, turn on hdr reload the game back up then remember to turn hdr back off once I've finished playing, I suppose I could create a list that needs this option but it's such a pain.

why can't game creators program things correctly, there are loads of other games that use hdr automatically whether it's enabled through windows or not.
