No tutorial?

I know there supposed to be a little robot that explains every new window but he doesn't appears since I played in early access. No way to get him back? and seriously... no tutorial?

There's no tutorial campaign no. For IV we have tried to keep things as intuititive in tooltips etc. as possible. There are also some great community made guides.

Had fun last night trying to explain the game to someone new to the franchise.

Whilst I do understand that first time can be frustrating I do think tutorials are a thing of the past. With online guides, let's plays and other ways to get information you don't need to have a full expensive tutorial in a game. But making the UI as inuititive as possible is an ongoing process.

I was playing Dune Spice Wars recently and that has no tutorial but with a few tooltips and guides you can pick up stuff and for anything deeper you have let's plays etc.

Wish I could write and edit things like Wiki because a first 5/10 turn how to would be a nice sub there.

I agree that tutorials aren't common anymore and are a bit of a thing of the past.

However, saying you've kept things intuitive with tooltips is being rather generous towards yourselves. The tooltips are lacking all over the shop. They cover very little in the way of mechanics or how things work (even vaguely). They will often just provide numbers with no context or meaning - again (I realise I harp on about it a lot), the worst offender of this is all things combat related. The tooltips may as well not be there for all the good they do.

And you can't use wikis as a reason when the Galciv4 on is empty (of how things work).

I think more work can be done here. There is a walkthrough here.  I agree the Wiki could/should be a lot better. It will get better.

i've never edited a wiki before and dont see any option for it on the page... was going to go throw up the link to the community guides section of the forums under "useful links" and see if you wanted the basic combat info i posted in there to be on the wiki or not... do i need to be logged in to the wiki or something or order to have an edit option? how does that all work? and how do i get premission from you all to add something once i've typed it up?

In order to contribute to the wiki you will need an account. If you desire one just direct message me and I will create one for you.

Account creation and editing were limited because of the high amount of spam bots that were vandalizing the wikis.
