Issue with not being able to select anti aliasing and texture filtering options

Using parallels on M1 MacBooks

I’m playing the game on macOS using parallels. I’ve got two machines a 2020 MacBook Air M1 base model and a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 14in base model.

on the Air, the weaker machine, I’m able to select any resolution and set the texture filter setting to 16x. On the MacBook Pro I don’t have any resolutions to select, anti aliasing isn’t changeable and neither is texture filter. I am able to change resolution and anti aliasing through the txt file. I also managed to make it full screen instead of borderless window through the txt file. On the Air I was able to easily set the resolution and max the other settings, on the pro I can select the max options but “apply changes” is greyed out.

the pro is the better computer so it’s unclear why it can’t select the higher settings. I’d like to use it to play instead because it’s my personal and it should be able to handle bigger scenarios.

i uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and deleted all files

Go to the folder \Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\ and rename the folder Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion something else, like Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Old. I am not certain what the exact path would be on a Mac.

Try running the game again.
