Here's another. The missile volley says 5 range but the real range is 3. Beta 0.81.

Here's another. "Missing Info"

This was after the fabricated scandal event. I chose to throw my leader under the bus. Beta 0.81.

Is this still happening in 0.90?

Sorry, no idea. I started a new game with "higher" minor races and "lower" hostiles. However, there are hostiles all over the place and I haven't seen a single minor race yet.

Save file here.

Also in this save file, note that the Festron fleet is impersonating a space monster fleet. I don't know what this fleet is doing. It seems to be camping out outside the nest. Check lower middle of the northern sector.

I reloaded the savefile in 0.90 and did not note any difference.

Let me be more specific. Gloumia offers three options:

  • +2 science <X3   +0 really
  • +3 credits <X3   +0 really
  • .2 harmony crystals XD  +1 really

There is clearly a disconnect between the text and the code.

That is showing that the Festron fleet attacked the space monsters and was destroyed.  When ships are destroyed by the space monsters, new space monsters are created from the debris.  The Festron fleet probably attacked the Nest, which has only 73 of 225 hit points left.  The entire fleet was destroyed, so a new fleet of space monsters replaced it.  The confusion comes from the new monster ship/fleet still having the name of the previous ship/fleet.

My question is:  How did the Nest get 225 hit points?  I've never seen one with more than 100.

That doesn't mean anything.  This type of information is embedded in the save and won't change if the save is loaded into a different version of the game.  A new game needs to be started with 0.90 to see if anything has changed.

I am playing a game started with the latest version of 0.90.  I have met the Gloumia and completed the Crucible Lab for them.

I chose the harmony crystals and have been getting 0.2 per turn since then, so that works.  I have now loaded my save and tried the other choices.

When I chose research,  I couldn't tell if my research changed because I don't know if my actual research is shown anywhere.  I was no longer getting the harmony crystals, so that changed.

When I chose credits, my credit income didn't change, and I was no longer getting the harmony crystals.

When I went back to harmony credits, I began getting 0.2 per turn again.

I'm going to guess this means the first two choices don't work right.

You can see your total yields on the tax screen. I advanced it a few turns to be sure.

This is getting kind of ridiculous. I didn't have any ship destroyed. I don't know why there are so many disconnects between the text and what's actually happening, but that's where we are in 0.9. I don't have a save file for this one.

Also the battle viewer is pretty when it works but it fails to put any ships on the screen so frequently that, well, come on. Do I have a save file? No, but I think it is intermittent.

Another disconnect. The pirates are three tiles away, no? Why have hexes if you aren't going to use them?
