Sins not running on windows 10

I downloaded Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion off steam recently, but I can't get it to run properly. At best, I can get audio that cuts in and out, but no visual. Does someone know how I can fix this? I'm running it on a Dell Inspiron desktop PC if that information's required.

Please try the suggestions there to see if they fix the issue. I also recommend going to the game's installation folder and running the compatibility troubleshooter on the exe file.
