Skin Transparency seriously annoying issue

Using Windows 11 with ExplorerPatcher v22000.493.42.20 & WindowBlinds 10.89.

Please see the attached screenshots.

If I use the "Default Theme" (see marked area in Screenshot_1.jpg - boring as hell), there is no issue.

The second I load ANY other skin (please see the marked areas in Screenshot_2.jpg), I am getting annoying transparency issues, to the point that I sometimes cannot see text on screen dependent on whatever dialogue is on screen.

I looked at the settings in WB, and I seem to remember a LOT more settings there way back when I used WB on Windows 7.

Also have turned of Transparency in Window 11 settings.

Am I missing a a setting to stop this behavior or does anybody know how I can stop this happening?

On a side note, does anybody have a better guesstimate than "2022" (2023 in the post I saw :D ) for when WindowBlinds 11 will reach us?

This is why we say WindowBlinds 10 is not compatible with Windows 11.

Microsoft messed up and broke backwards compatibility with how transparency margins work on that OS.

The transparency issue has been an ongoing issue using this method and to my knowledge no user's have yet to find a work around. Some skins will look better then other's using explorerpatcher.

As for when Windowblinds 11 will begin development I can only speculate. I do know that start 11 v 1.2 will be released to beta "in a few weeks-ish". After that makes its way from Beta to release obviously Stardock will go down their list of projects in the order frog boy posted

If the 2023 typo is true then that would mean Neil is going to take a year long paid holiday after start 11 is completed. In that case I would have to find out how to do that myself

I think all of us would like to know that answer neone6.

Interceptor_One. A few of us did extensive work testing out skins using ExplorerPatcher making WB10 work With Win11, i myself put in many man hours and could not change the transparency issue, i think this is as far as we can take this before the Devs here start work on WB11 whenever that will be, now almost six months since the launch of Win11 and staff are even more silent about when it will be. I think we are losing the customisation edge to other theme makers, harming the brand, peeps will leave Windowblinds behind as it is taking so long, shame really as WB was a Brilliant bit of kit.

-Hard enough to get answers from Neil as it is...

The general feeling I get is that Neil actually is not the person to ask as far as timelines go. The better person to ask is probably Brad as he is likely the person that green lights projects.

Brad isn't very active on the forums but actually does use social media a bit more https://twitter.com/bdsams

This is where I found out that start 11 v 1.2 will be released in a few weeks-ish as the quote came from Brad himself and this also shows updated progress on the list of projects he has listed that Stardock will be working on this year.

Surely any replies about what comes next and when, should be posted in the forum connected to Stardock Products ie here, and not Social Media. Not everyone uses social media for various reasons, the youg uns love it even posting every meal they eat on it *_*  , we are not all like that. Imagine posting more on social media than you do in a forum set up to advise, update and solve problems about Stardock stuff, strange world we live in hey.

Naroon, I agree.

Stardock does have a web page and news section that may be a bit under utilized. There also does seem to be a fan base and people that check the forums regularly for news and updates. Sure, social media may be a platform to get your message out there and is good to use. But, at the same time the forum people should not be ignored either. I do understand the sentiment, that perhaps anything to do with this forum at times gets set onto the back burner and sometimes forgotten about all together. Hopefully, there can be a better effort for the fan base that is present here in the forums as well.

We have done more than our part Phoenix, the transparency issue was discovered by us and we did the right thing by reporting that hard work through forum pages, pity Stardock, who are happy to take our money have not done the same as us. At first is was just us in the minority asking when will WB11 be ready, now much older hands and long time members, Skin Creators, are becoming concerned by the lack of movement, any movement from the ones who will have the answer.

At Least there is symmetry, Stardock is treating us all like Mushrooms.

Keep Us In The Dark.

Feed us On Sh*te.

I have been exploring other customisation methods as you know, i was once a die hard Stardock Fan, and i mean a serious, but now i fully expect to be continued to be ignored by those in the know, If that is how i feel, what must have become of those WB users starting out on there customising journey and who have moved to Win11.
