Windowblinds not working right on Windows 11?

I just got a new comp with Windows 11 and re-downloaded Windowblinds, but I have issues when applying themes.  The taskbar doesn't like to skin and I've noticed some other issues.  Are there any work-arounds?

Windowblinds 10 is is not compatible with windows 11 and was made specifically for Windows 10

Later this year Windowblinds 11 will be released which will be specifically designed for Windows 11

However, If you would like I have found a way to make Windows 11 download and install the Windows 10 taskbar and explorer. By doing this you will not have the crash issue and will have the taskbar function but would have to use Windows 10 explorer and taskbar instead of Windows 11's. This is the link

Okay, thank you.  I will wait for 11 to come out.  Just wanted to make sure something was in the works.

WindowBlinds 11 does not work well on Windows 11. For one, scrollbars do not properly display. Clearly they released the product without enough testing.

No, they didn't. Beta, clearly stated everywhere, is the software development phase following alpha. Software in the beta stage is also known as beta ware. A beta phase generally begins when the software is feature complete but likely to contain several known or unknown bugs. Software in the beta phase will generally have many more bugs in it than completed software and speed or performance issues, and may still cause crashes or data loss.

Apart from the fact it is in BETA stage (what Jan said), we have to wait until the first skins really made for Win 11 pop up. I should be clear that some parts don't work well with older skins.

How about reporting Your findings in a proper way?

Which scrollbars are not showing correctly?  Screenshots would be most helpful here.

The issue is that a great many things just aren't impacted because of the way windows now handles many title bars. Eg. i can get theming on chrome but not on edge despite tagging the shortcut. Title bars on MANY programs aren't adjustable, eg things like office. it's great to have a custom skin on windows explorer, but it's hard to justify the cost when that's basically all it does.

4 different styles all running at the same time, edge, telegram, windows explorer (the only one that WB changes) and word. It's a mess.

Alas you would have to complain to the devs of those apps about that.  We can only control normal titlebars.  As you can see the second of your apps there did a pretty poor job of trying to look like the OS and even the first and last didn't manage to match the OS properly!

For MS edge you can get the same as chrome BUT you need to disable the option for 'fast startup' in MS edge.  This causes MS edge to start-up when your computer does and so your shortcut doesn't run a new copy with the new command line option.  Basically this is something Microsoft do to make MS edge look like it starts quicker.  I thought the industry had moved past that after the old office quick start apps but apparently not :(

I understand what you're saying, which is why i mentioned changes to how titles are drawn. Whatever the reason, the inability to change a great many titles gives the app very limited attraction.

I cant even install - get error 123 when it tries to decompress a tga file and then bombs out.
Seems you maybe have a corrupt installer. Try to go to your account page and download the installer from there : [Link]

If you have downloaded the trial, try to download it again from Stardock official page: [Link]

I currently use Cursor Xp, Start 11, and Fences... and the good news is Fences has not given me trouble in quite a while now, which is great.

I do hope they get Windowsblinds figured out, obviously, it's a much more complex piece of software than the little ones like Fences and Cursor XP.
