Transparency/Texture Problems

Windows Explorer Not Skinning Properly

I'm having problems with certain WB's not displaying properly in Windows Explorer. Specifically there are some dark WB's that the the backgrounds for Windows Explorer are supposed to be black and transparent. But the backgrounds stay white. eg. Cypher by neone6 and Sonic Boom by Vampothica. In the preview both of these skins use transparent backgrounds for Windows Explorer.

I'm using WindowBlinds 10.89 (064 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS on Windows 10 Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044. 1526). Any help will be appreciated.

I believe they're using a third part app for the transparency, I could be wrong, usually in the skins description Andy (neone6) will list them. |-)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I downloaded the app you were referring to; it's called System Transparency. It helped somewhat but the background for Windows Explorer was supposed to be black and partially transparent but it remained white and partially transparent. These were older WindowBlinds from about 10 years ago, before that app even existed, so I'm still at a loss.

And that is the Problem right there. -This feature was taken away as Time progressed and Micro$oft F'd it all up so it didn't work anymore...:cylon:

Good old Microsoft, eh? Thanks for the response, Andy. Between using System Transparency and editing the system colours to change the background to a charcoal grey, I was able to get your original looking pretty close to the way you originally designed it. About the best work around for now. The skin was Cypher, in case you were curious. ^_^
