Fixing the Weather Docklet in ObjectDock

The weather docklet in ObjectDock does not work when attempting to update with a location such as 'Adelaide Australia'. The error dialogue is "Problem with location code lookup. Please check your internet connection and try again later."

There is no internet connection problem, so the issue must be elsewhere.

I have downloaded the .bat file in the existing FAQ purporting to solve this issue, but the bat file does not work anyway. Nevertheless, I have managed to download the StardockWeather.ocx file and copy that to the Stardock and Stardock/ObjectDock program folders, but again this does not fix the problem.

The Internet feeds that various Docks etc used for the Weather went Commercial and thus well outside of what was commercially viable for such programs.

This all occurred about a decade ago, and I doubt circumstances have changed since...;)

Yes, indeed that seems to be the case, having searched a bit more. It is just very disappointing that Stardock hasn't updated this app, which is otherwise quite a useful customisation. Everything else about it works pretty well still (most of the time) despite the alleged incompatibility with Windows 10.
