Fences header is off screen and cannot be closed or moved

Something happened recently on my PC that caused one of the Fence windows to expand to such a massive size that it's header is completely off screen.  With the header off screen, I am unable to move the Fence, let alone close or delete it.  There does not seem to be any way to manually delete a fence from within the program's settings or through a right-click menu, which is an odd oversight.  Does anyone know how to remove a fence when you cannot see the title bar anymore?  Thanks!

Thank you... sorry.  My screen is currently set to the recommended (100%).  Because I have such a large monitor I usually prefer this set to 125%, but either way the header of the Fence is still off screen.  Thanks again for assisting.

This is not supposed to be possible. When moving a fence to top of the screen, the titlebar automatically moves to the bottom of the fence. Could this be the case and you just haven't noticed it? Also, it would be very helpful if you could post a screenshot of what your desktop looks like with the unmoveable fence.

Thanks, I understand your surprise about this... It surprises me too.  I've actually been using Fences for a few years and love it.  I am familiar with how it moves the title bar to the bottom of the window/fence, but in this case, both the top and the bottom of the fence are completely out of view.  I can only see the left wall of the fence and I can grab it with the mouse and adjust it left or right, of course this doesn't help the vertical issue of having lost access to the top and bottom of the frame.  All my other fences are in place and functioning.  I even tried uninstalling and re-installing, but the defect comes right back.  Very frustrating.

Many thanks AzDude!  Thou art a genius indeed! :)  I did have to re-create my fences after that, but it was easy and fixed everything.  It's running perfect now.  THANK YOU!!!!

I have this same issue, I even tried to set my screen in portrait mode (and its a big screen) and it was still off the bottom, I use the auto collapsing fences (not sure if that helps find the cause) I am not able to easily remove, purge and reinstall so I am hoping there is another way, Is there a configuration file I can adjust or something similar?

Is this issue happen very recently? If yes, try do the saved layout snapshot restore from few days ago. Fences do auto save your layout snapshot for 3 days.

Its been like it for a while but I haven't had chance to look at fixing it until now.

I did find some layout config files in C:\Program files(x86)\stardock\fences\layouts that look like the below but these dont appear to relate to my setup. Can you advise where the current setup ones are as this looks like it would fix my issue

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

<Layout xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

  <Name>Bottom</Name>

  <TranslationTag>4,30</TranslationTag>

  <MinimumCategories>0</MinimumCategories>

  <MaximumCategories>-1</MaximumCategories>

  <Areas>

    <LayoutArea>

      <Biases />

      <Alignment>BottomLeft</Alignment>

      <NoExtraSpacing>false</NoExtraSpacing>

      <Orientation>Horizontal</Orientation>

      <Height>0.19</Height>

      <Width>1</Width>

      <HeightModifers />

      <WidthModifers />

      <HeightModifersNoRounding />

      <WidthModifersNoRounding />

      <XOffsetModifers />

      <YOffsetModifers />

      <XOffsetModifersNoRounding />

      <YOffsetModifersNoRounding />

    </LayoutArea>

  </Areas>

  <Biases />

</Layout>

Thanks

Steve

I can't really tell you where to look at. I am not in the Dev team. Anyway, have you tried any other the layout snapshot from the earlier date?

I fixed it

I managed to click on the fence and drag it away from the edge making the title visible and I was then able to gradually reduce the size to make it fit then set it to the edge again to make it auto-hide again.
