GC4 EA Feedback Test Branch | VERSION 0.70.275114

How To Handle Space Bugs

So you want to help us deal with space bugs huh? Well, there are plenty of them. Here we will give you some pointers on how to best help us.

Go to give feedback

  • You can also create your own unique threads and link them here. But include at least the basic details here!
  • Ensure the issue/feedback you are talking about is relevant to the VERSION NUMBER listed (See below for how)
  • Make sure all of your drivers are updated and verify the game files after every update before reporting an issue. This can often be the culprit.
  • If there is a bug that keeps repeating:
    • Include all steps you make to reproduce it.
    • Include any save games including auto saves.
    • Also please include debug.err files and pref.ini files as they can help with reproducing map generation or graphical errors.
    • When the crash dialogue appears ensure you put in an e-mail for our devs to follow up

How to tell which version you are on?

I just started a new game on 0.70.275114.  Did "Call election" get removed? I saw that it would be removed in 0.71.

A couple of quick issues.

1) I think we are getting a little too much food.  Currently as the Terrans i never need to bother building Agricultural plots.  I'm throwing away more food than McDonald's.

2) What is the size that makes a planet "habitable" and what size is "Extreme". I think on some settings we are getting too many, but I don't know what the definition is.

Factions still do not work if you do not clear previous customized Civ settings before starting new game

I really like what you've done with Factions - strategic choices.  There should always be a price to pay for our decisions.  A suggestion - could you give us a choice as to which side of the Faction we wanted to get positive outcome?  That would double the choices and make Factions even more useful to crafting each players vision for his Civ.

Civ policies - Fast Exploration : I still think the 50% reduction in hit points is too much for +2 moves.

Reduced 71%

50% reduction of hit points is too much for any # of moves maybe a 2% increase in cost per movement point. Plus, this policy as all movement increases needs to be scaled to map with "Normal" map being base. ATM maps should be rated tiny (Single), small, normal, large and huge so 0,1,2,3,5 movement the # for huge going by the jump from 8gigs of memory for large to 32 for it.
