pocketblind skin problem

Are you running any other apps that might be trying to take control of the Nav bar. Like wisbar or icbar etc.

or Battery Bar? cuz it has a program that runs independant of Battery Bar that turns the "ok" button into an actual "close app" button and when that runs you can't use pocketblinds, wisbar, icbar, or zap unless it's turned off or .bmp on the right won't skin...

had to go find the thing cuz I don't use it but it's called "Program Bar" and it installs along w/ Battery Bar, so if you use Battery Bar go into your Today screen settings and take the check mark out of Program Bar and or if you leave the app checked go into it's own settings on the today screen and click on it's icon and take the check mark out of the box that says "Power task button and menu" other wise any task skinner you install will do battle over the top right close button image...

definitely look into what Doreen is describing. I had that happen to me and it took me quite awhile to figure out where the heck to turn that off. This is an item that should never be set to default "ON", however it is.

ok first, thank you for all the information and for taking the time to help. second, i looked where doreen said and yes i am using the program bar, but when i went into the options settings for program bar i couldn't find any thing called power task button and menu settings. second and i'm not sure if this does anything but i am using theme dream for my themes.
i'll keep trying to find the power task button and menu setting.

ok here is another question as well. is there a program that does the same job as program bar but that doesn't clash with pocketblinds? i love how easy it is to just look at the bar of icons to pick a program i want to use.

Are you using Dashboard? If yes you have two options there. the built in mini Launcher plus the laucher plug in. There are others as well

ok i'm trying out dashboard right now and so far i like it. i just have to remake all the themes i already have into themes for the program. i have no idea how to do that but i did download the maker program so i'll try that.
now how to i tell dashboard to look on my disc instead of on the ppc itself for themes?
please help yet again.

ok let me clarify what is going on with dash. i have no idea how to get it to read any themes off of a memorie card instead of the ppc itself. i don't know and cant understand how to use the theme maker for dash and i have no idea how to put programs onto the personal menu for my programs.
can anyone please help?

ok i'm sure your sick of me by now. i noticed that when i change the blinds skin i get the same request that i did with battery bar. it asks if i want it to disable nav bar skinning because it detected another program working with the nav as well. when i hit now it seems to take over and be stable with it wasn't doing with omega batter bar.
any ideas?

1. To grab a skin from a CF or SD card you simply go into your Dashboard options and select the "Skins" tab and on the bottom of that screen there is a lil box that says "User Defined Skins Folder:" browse there for your storage cards.

2. You don't need another app for launching your programs to resolve your original problem all you need to do is disable the "Power Task Button" by:

a. Go into "Today Screen Settings" put a check mark on "Program Bar" click on "OK"

b. Go to your "Today Screen" and tap on the icon that looks like a little Document with a jagged bolt of some kind? when it opens up to "Power Adjust" properties take the check mark off of "Power Task Button & menu" and click o "OK" and your good to go and can still use the program launcher...

you are increadable. it worked like a charm and i can use my original program with pocket blind now. i'm going to play around with dashboard just because i liked the way it looked. i have no idea how to make the skins but i would love to find out.

ok doreen i looked on the skins section for dashboard but there isn't a little box at all. nothing to show how to change the settings. i am using the trial version right now so would that make a difference?

ok everyone can laugh now. i downloaded WISbar to see if it was any good and it is the best program i have found so far. no problems with any of the other things going on my ppc.
now i have one last question. does anyone know where i can get other WISbar themes?

not sure why you cannot browse to your storage cards other then you prob need the lastest build of Dashboard and I'm not sure what that build is cuz I'm currently using a beta.
