Software being used for video

I'm curious, what software are you using for creating dreams lately? I'm certain After Effect is still being used but I figure there's some new stuff that's come out that I'm unaware of since I last made one.

If you've got some new looping or blending tips that you want to share it would be appreciated and if you would share the format & video settings you've had good results with I would appreciate it.

For the first time in my life I have some time to relax and thought I'd make some dreams again.

Thx

Hello,

Hello CarGuy1,

Glad to see you back ,

A Lot has happened in the past years , but After Effects is still a leading animation

program so if your up to date on it that's a good choice .

If you check out the latest version of DeskScape11 you'll also see that it includes a

new creation program for static images in Dream Maker Pro

Link : https://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/

If you have any questions about that program just send me a PM and I can help

you get started using it and the animations that are included ...

Today's dream resolutions are in HD 1920x1080 and 4K/UHD res 3840x2160

Dream Previews ( static image )  are HD 1920x1080 , No sfw preview anymore.

Most provide a youtube video ( or Vimeo ) preview for the dreams ( is best )

Same rules apply as before as far as using other work such as CCO or Public Domain

provide links in your description .

Otherwise your good to go just let your talent do the rest .

Hope to see you back in the fold soon GL ...

AZDude,

What are you saving video as these days. Since mpeg went out are you using mp4 or avi?

What bit rate are you using as well. I know some formats tend to hiccup at the loop so I'm curious as to what your using. I could strip a clip out and analyze it but I'd rather ask, if you feel like sharing.

thx.

And, hi Jim, glad to see your still here.

Yes MP4 or Avi are the formats .

Dream Maker Pro renders in MP4

I use converters when needed. To improve the

Loops .Avi still gives a better loop than MP4.

But you just have to check the settings for your

Bitrate to see how much ( how high ) you can

use and still keep the file size in line with Quality.

So different converter are different so bitrates

 will vary .

i use Video Proc for most conversions.

Set for AVI UHD  bitrate Manual High setting.

But i have others too. VP is a good looper.

Thx for the info & tips.

It's been a while since I've messed with rendering so it will be a bit of fun re-learning things.
