Many thanks to the designers who are beginning to use vivid, bright, and radiant colors. Its a substantial improvement over the dark and gloomy colors of the past. The new pastel colors give new life to my desktop appearance.

kona, I thought VIVID= bright, clear, intense. Pastels are generally flat. Great looking, but more flat than vivid.

Pastels are ok, if ya like that sorta thing, however, I do not..And I think vivid pastels would be almost unbearable......

I personally like the colorful themes. That's why I actually like the Windows XP style! However, there are ones that are dark yet still appeal to me.
