sound packager 10 not working

hello everyone,

i downloaded and installed sound packager 10 yesterday but i can't seem to get it to work.

i installed all my favourite sound packs from wincustomize then opened the program but it seemed everything i installed was listed as the windows 11 sound pack. none of the sound packs i installed were listed.

secondly when i apply a sound pack nothing changes. all of the sounds are still basically windows 10 sounds.

i am not very computer savvy but i was wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this with sound packager 10 and if so how they fixed it. any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

sarah

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows version, you can use Winver.exe to get Windows full version numbers.
  2. Sound Packager version.

Thanks.

Need to know if you have installed SoundPackager into its default directory?

Do you see something like screenshot below? And if you click any of those Sound pack and then click the "Download" button does it download it? And if you apply the sound does it apply?

If you don't see this. Please take a screenshot and post it here.

hi basj

the page you displayed aslo displays correct on my soundpackager, however, on the installed tab i see nothing but windows 11 sound packs which seemed to have installed multiple times, and the strdock soundpacks that installed when i installed the program.

i cannot see how to post a screenshot to this reply

Well, thank you for the screenshot. Something is wrong but not sure what.

  1. Can you please try to uninstall SoundPackager. Reboot
  2. Get a new copy of SoundPackager from your account : https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products.
  3. Reinstall using the installer you download from your account. Reboot.
  4. Test and report back.

good morning basj. i tried unistalling yesterday and nothing happened. it wouldn't uninstall at all. when i do try to uninstall my laptop's fan goes to high speed and it becomes unresponsive. i think i'm going to have to get my tech man to have a look at it. he might just format and reload it for me. if he does this i'll reinstall my stardock programs but leave sound packager out for now until stardock release a newer version with hopefully these bugs ironed out.

i don't think there's anymore you can do for me at the moment basj so thank you for trying to help me.

Actually, just to let you know, I don't really think its Sound Packager issue or bug, if it is, we should have lot more similar reports as your in by now. Yes, get your tech to help is really great option.
