Chrome/Edge Browser Skinning Incompatible with Edge Startup Boost

FYI, with latest version of Curtains 1.19, the Chrome/Edge browser styling option seems to be incompatible with the Microsoft Edge Startup Boost feature. Tested with Edge Version 91.0.864.59 (production) on Windows 10 19043.1081 (21H1).

According to Microsoft, Startup Boost keeps Edge partially running in the background when the browser is "closed" to increase perceived launch times. This "closed but not closed" state seems to mess with the skinning logic somehow, and the result is that the Edge title bar just defaults back to the Windows accent color.

Not sure if you can come up with a work-around for this, but I do prefer having this feature enabled, as I use Edge as my daily driver and the quicker launch times are noticeable.

Thanks for listening.

Hello.

But, I tested on my Windows 10 v21H1 and I see no issue on mine. Here a video I made. Maybe you been looking it differently?

Thanks for the reply Basj.

Are you certain you have enabled the Startup Boost feature in Microsoft Edge? It is not enabled by default. It's hard to tell because I'm viewing on my phone but it doesn't appear that you show this setting being enabled in your video.

You should find this in the System settings in Edge I believe.

Well, I am sorry, my mistake, I have that off all this while. Never turn it on and I think this is known that we can't get Windowblinds to skin Edge correctly if we do not turn off Edge completely when we close Edge. So my guess, is that, its either get Edge skin properly or start just a little bit faster. But never both.

Could it explain why I have to close Edge the first time I load it? The first run after a computer reboot make Edge move very slowly when you try to move-it. When I close Edge and restart, it's ok.

I can't explain why that is needed since I not really sure how Curtains and Edge work by design. The information was pass down and the condition also apply to Chrome browsers.

2023 and it is still crap with edge shortcut and i can't see why they even got it out before it's working right with the most used browsers instead of all kind of setting changes that wont work correct anyway. When i buy stuff i expect it to work not that i have to work to get it to show partly what you think it would.
