Supply Depot ? Bug.

Galciv3's beta opt-in allowed me to build a "Supply Depot", an "All Construction" improvement, whose description asserted that it was a one per planet destroyable improvement which improved morale and productivity. Once built I was unable to construct this improvement on any other planet. Once destroyed I was also unable to build this improvement on any other planet but it's entry still existed as buildable on that planet. Nor was I able to discover which tech in the tech tree allowed me to build this improvement.

Just checked and I could build more than one just fine.

Keep in mind that you can't build it on capital planets. And it isn't available to Synthetic-life civs, or those that have Slavers or Exterminators abilities.

Thank you Rhonin_the_wizard.

Loaded up the saved game. Not built on home/capital world. Playing as a SILICON based custom (no slaver/exterminator abilities) race. No documentation on the caveats you mentioned. Can rebuild on planet (class 18 w terraformed tiles) where first built. Feels like something wonky in the xml (above/beyond my pay grade/expertise) ????

Please upload a savegame to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here so I can take a look at it.

Thank you Rhonin.

Never having used this file sharing mechanic before I hope that I have followed the procedures correctly and that you can access the file. Despite the file name referencing CRUSADE I am running the Retribution DLC.

Planet in question is Dendra III, a class 15.

That's not the savegame file.

I have spent several hours searching for the location of galciv's save game files, both in my local windows 10 filesystem and for documentation on the net. The search has proven fruitless.

If you have Crusade they are in

\Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Saves

otherwise

\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Saves

..\Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Saves was the location/origin of the file whose link I posted to Google.

Perhaps these are the save files as produced by the OPT IN BETA galciv3 that I am running ???

As further data I note that the timestamps on these files change to the current time whenever I save my game using the same filename e.g. HS9-3.1 ( Hex Sigma 9 (race name) - Game 3 Move 1)

I am running not only the Crusades DLC but the Retribution DLC as well.

..\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Saves contains only a single file "steam_autocloud.vdf"

I requested access to the file.

Another procedure I was unaware of. Fixed it I hope.

Loaded the save file. Dendra III has a Supply Depot built on it. All of your colonies have it constructed. The only planet that doesn't have it is Sigma Draconis, and it can't have one since it has a Capital City.

Nor was I able to discover which tech in the tech tree allowed me to build this improvement.

The improvement is awarded by the Colonization tech, which is already unlocked when starting a game, just like the other starting techs in the branches.
