6 years ago, I did a skin by request called 8 for 7 (LINK). It was a skin for windows 7 which emulated windows 8.1 with a couple of tweaks.
In the same spirit, I have started a new skin called 7 for 10. If you can't guess from the name I am doing the unthinkable: namely building a Windows 7 clone for Windows 10 
I think actually enough time has passed for the look to be considered "classic" by some and hopefully it will appeal to a small group of weirdos!
This is what I have so far
I'm not kidding when I say that this may be the most challenging skin I have ever done. Aero looks simple on the surface, but when you zoom in to 500% to recreate every pixel to authenticity you'll find it's quite complex. The challenge, so far has been relying on screenshots found online plus additional shots from Jim (RedneckDude). I'm also unhappy about the fact that WB doesn't blur the different sections consistently. It kida ruins the look when the start panel's blur doesn't match the taskbar. Oh well, it is what it is.
ok first let me start by saying this skin is a MUST do. idc what anyone says w7 Aero is the definitive UI. Secondly if you need someone to test it out while you work on it I am more than willing. I'm a thorough tester and I regularly use software that WB seems to have issues with (Posts about those forthcoming). So far it looks really sweet I would love a copy if you are so inclined hmu.
Trying out Galaxus WSX with this wall... think I'll keep it this way for June.
LOL, I was thinking the same Andy. 
Sort of like a holographic headset, but with access to the net...and or radio telescopes. Exploring the universe...maybe.
