• Fixes a bug with if you had settings open for a dynamic dream and clicked outside the window below you could get the app stuck
• Dream updates: "Pan and Zoom" dream now included
• Edits to welcome screen
• Prep work for translations

DeskScapes 11 Beta 3 Can not be installed on a Win 7 Pro PC.  I will be upgrading to a Win 10 Pro system, when I can afford to spend over $2K for a new machine and replace all of my software.

Does StarDock plan on releasing a version of DS for Win 7, or is 10.03 the last compatible version?

Also, I will be entering comments on the WindowBlinds Beta thread regarding Beta WB's problems with DS 10.02/.03.

I am afraid that DS11 will only be for Windows 10 and there are no immediate plans to update DS10 any futher.

I see.

StarDock needs to update ODT Manager to indicate that DS is no longer compatible with Win 7 Pro.

SD should have also notified us that Win 7 Pro is not supported - there will be no reason to renew my subscription until I have several thousand extra dollars to upgrade my system AND replace all of my software. 

As someone with disabilities, and therefore limited income, that may be a while.

I have turned off notifications for beta's.

I will post comments about the major problems that I have found with WindowBlinds 11 betas on that thread.

Hi 

I have been using Deskscapes for years and  have today subscribed to Object Desktop.

The version 11 beta has been installed by me with no problem from this source, but there seems to be no option to save the file to download later , but only to 1) directly install or 2) update version 10 if required..

As the sub is for 12 months , but the file is owned and updated for this period, should not the beta and subsequent full version be saveable ?

I see that  the Stardock "my downloads" logged into separately ,does not include this file .

You should also be able to direct download from your account using this guide : https://forums.stardock.com/484254/getting-your-products-and-keys. Save those downloads in your safe place for later. The betas should be listed under your ObjectDesktop "View Individual Downloads".

My DS11 was working perfectly until windows 10 had another update recently.

Now my desktop dream video no longer works unless I start DS11 then go to my installed dream and press the apply button to all monitors.

I have to do this each time I start my computer.

Is it possible something else is changing your wallpaper at startup?

What appears on your desktop instead of your video dream at startup?

Also what other software do you have installed?

My wallpaper isn't changing.. my videodream appears but is frozen.

I did find one solution... I uninstalled DS11 then re-installed it which fixed the problem but I don't want to do this each time windows has an update.

I don't have the check box checked for beta download. But it downloaded anyway.

How do I go back? I do not like the beta!!

Since DS10 is no longer being sold, the Beta checkbox to see DS11 is no longer needed.  If you had DS10 when it was available, it should still be on your account page:

How to get deskscape 11 with deskscape 10? Do you still need to buy again?

Both Traditional and Simplified Chinese are available in DeskScapes 11.

No, once you purchase an individual product, it is a one-time purchase and yours for life.

Incremental upgrades (1.1, 1.2, etc) are offered with most Stardock software at no charge. Version upgrades (1,2,3) are usually paid upgrades.

Hi!

I installed deskscapes11 beta4 on my windows 10 without a problem and it works good, but with 2 issues.

I created my own list with all my deskscapes backgrounds and choose in settings: "change on every pc start"

I have 2 monitors and DS11 change 2 different backgrounds on my monitors on every pc start.

But i want the same background on both monitors.

This works with DS10 without a problem, but not with DS11.

What can i do?

The second issue is with windowblinds.

I have the newest version of WB10 and if i opend it i have seen deskscapes background with windowblinds skin together in the preview window, but only  with DS10.

With DS11 i see the windowblinds skin with a black background only.

My computer doesn't work. Unable to achieve dynamic effect。

The system is windows 10 21h1

Seems to work at least as good as v10 in my limited testing. However I have same issue in 11 that I did 10 - my desktop icons and fences often vanish from the desktop while DeskScapes is running. They can reappear by right clicking and dragging on the desktop (engaging fences), or right-clicking and selecting "refresh", but won't reappear with a simple right-click. (I havent yet tried this with the new Fences beta version, however)

Also, has the screensaver functionality been removed in 11? I cant see how to enable it and DeskScapes disappeared from my screensaver settings in Windows after installing DS 11. I'm not sure if this is the place to request it, but gosh someone REALLY needs to release some custom screensaver software with support for dual monitors regardless of orientation (portrait/landscape), that can play back common video file formats. The built in MS ones work absolutely fine, but there's only 6 options to choose from and only like 3 that look even remotely interesting, and none that can play back a video sequence. All the software I have tried to get a decent screensaver never works properly with dual monitors, including DS 10. But I for one would pay good $ for this feature!! Especially if it had options to dim the playback brightness and make the sleepy monitors look like some amazing ambient trippy abstract art.

You can set something as a screensaver from the apply background button.  It is a drop down and on the right hand side is the option to apply as a screensaver.

On your desktop icon issue, that sounds like a problem with Fences rather than DeskScapes.
