STARDOCK ICONS LOCKED

CAN RE ARRANGE ORDER OF FOLFERS OR ICONS

I purchased Stardock Start8

In the start menu / Programs

I used to be able to re order the folders and Icons.

Example have a Outlook Icon at the very top and move file up and down

They are now locked and I am unable to move them.  They work but would like to be able to re order them.

Can somebody advice how to make it so that shortcuts and folders and be again re-arrange?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your issue.

  1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe for full version numbers.
  2. Start8 versions.

And, if you on Start8 version V1.56, I do not think you can arrange things in the all program area those were sorted by Alphabet. You can arrange it on the Start8 main left panel.

Hi Basj

Yes I am running Star8 Version 1.56
As you mentione the all programs are are sorted by alphabet. 

I actually had purchased Star8 before and on that computer I can arrange the folders and shortcuts by moving them up and down.   
I Purchased Start8 because I couldnt remember which email address I used to purchase it the first time, plus wanted to suport Stardock. 

Is there a Walk around to be able to arrange the Folder & Icons manually. On my other PC I am able to place the folders that I used every day right at the top.

Please advice.

Hello,

For Start8 right panel you can add folders in there. Just follow the steps below.

  1. Right click empty space on Start8
  2. Click Configure Side tab.
  3. Click Advance button.
  4. Click add button -> Browse For Folder-> Select Folder-> Click Ok.
  5. That Folder will be listed there (red box), click on dropdown menu to display as item or menu.

But What I am tyring to do it not add now folders to the Start Menu.

but to re-organize the folders int the all programs portion. 

Currently all items in the All programs section are sorted by Alphabet. 

I want to be able to make specific icons at the top rather than half way.

As far as I know, that is not possible.
