Multiplayer Lobby menu does not render

Hi,

Since there is a free weekend on playing the base game, I got my friends to try this game out now. After they finished the tutorial, we wanted to set up a multiplayer game for learning.

When I open a game, or join a game in multiplayer, my computer only shows the background to me. I don't get the corresponding Menu displayed, can't ready up. This is the same if I want to host a game. I can set the privacy options, and then get the (beautiful) background.

My Friends can join the game, I am displayed in their games when I join, but I don't see the menu.

After cross-checking with my friends, I also can't use the competitive mode with the tachyon servers, but they can.

Offline play works like a charm, these issues are only connected to onine play via STEAM.

 

 

Is there a way to cross-check for firewall-issues or similar things?

Hi Navigator, Thank you for your quick reply. Seems like I stumbled upon a trap I fell into about 10 years ago the last time (with my last laptop): AMD bloat software required. Was the only step I skipped in the FAQ, as I do not like adware on my PC. Feel free to mark this issue as resolved.

What ended up fixing the issue for you?

I've gone through all the steps, and I still haven't been able to resolve it.

 

edit: So I was able to temporarily fix this by installing the 12/9/19 beta, I'm assuming this means I can only play with people running that version though, so not really an ideal fix.
