Soundpackager not working

Hello!

I purchased Soundpackager, got really excited to change all my sounds, and...

...It doesn't work.

I go in, change the theme, apply it.

Restart to see if I hear the new windows logon sound, nothing.
New email notification sound, nothing.

Have tried reinstalling the app multiple times.

Help?

Hi there!

Ok so, Windows version: 20H2 (OS Build 19042.844)
Soundpackager version 10.0

None of the packs work.
Windows just refuses to apply anything that's not the defaults.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just as a test, Using the Default "Aquarium" Sound pack. apply it. And turn on Apply enhanced sounds in your "Options". If it was off before you need to turn it on and reapply Aquarium Sound pack. Test and see Max, Min button sound work on Windows Explorer. Try that first and report back.

Thanks

Ok so, I just noticed something strange.
SOME sounds work.

I have the "Fluent" one active right now, and just connected my phone via USB and I heard the theme's "device connected" sound.

But, I changed the windows startup and mail notification sounds. Don't hear those two...
Now, I then did what you suggested, and:

Yes, both buttons work in Windows Explorer, with the Aquarium theme.
So SOME part of it is working...

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Not all sound packs have the same sounds included so some sounds maybe missing

that other have .

You can open the app for that sound pack and scroll through its sounds to see what

is there , and you could then edit the sound pack also to add new sounds or delete

a sound or replace a sound with another sound effect you might like better .

See if that works for you .

Hello!

Ok no, that's not it.

The problem is, I want to use a package, ANY PACKAGE really, and then only change two sounds: New Mail notification, and startup.

But those two are not working.

This is true for any package I activate.

I've tested it changing the two sounds myself, AND leaving it as default (for the chosen package anyway).

I am having same issue as well. I have purchased, tried to run as admin with no luck. I want to download and apply the MacOS soundpack, clicked download, button says "Installing", after that button text turned to "Apply sound pack" Clicked it and there is no change. Rebooted, deleted all the packs, reinstalled several times and now I have a software licence that doesn't work.

I have checked that the soundpacks are downloading but whenever I double-click a *.soundpackager file, nothing happens.  Downloaded soundpacks appear on file explorer but not in soundpackager local sounds.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system. Please list down.

  1. Your Windows full version numbers.
  2. Is all the theme not working or some is working like the OP above mentioned?
  3. Have you installed the program in different directory than its default directory? If you did please uninstall and reinstall into its default directory. And report back.

Thanks

Hell again,

1. Windows 10 20H2 (OS Build 19042.685)

2. None of the themes working. I tried plenty of themes online and doubleclicked on the soundpackage files with no luck.

3. Nope, I always leave program installation as it is.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

If you search:

Do you see the other installed sound packages?

If you have Windows Controlled Folder Access on, turn it off and try to DL and apply again:

It is off and I don't use windows virus protection. I am using Kaspersky. But I tried to disable protection and then tried to download again and still no luck. BTW, It's never worked, not in trial mode not in purchased mode after several re-installs and reboots still doesn't work at all  :(

Wait!
I downloaded some soundpackages from online tab in Soundpackager. Right clicked the downloaded package and clicked OPEN SOUNDPACK FOLDER. There are folders and all the folders are empty except a soundpackage.ini file but it contains just a couple lines:

[SoundPackage]

PackageSize=4336118

There are no soundfiles or references in the ini file. Just states the package size. Is this normal?

Do you have something installed that handles zip files other than the default OS compressed files handler?  In other words what happens when you double click on zip files?
