Trade resource

Trade resource

I have searched and searched but I just can't find the answer. I usually get lots of trade resources while playing Retribution, but how do I trade them? I don't/can't collect them even though I own the planet. I never get to build any special buildings and I can't sell them like in the older versions and titles. Is my game faulty or are there some settings I'm not seeing?

We are sorry you are having problems... But we won't help. Use the forum...

And the reasons for that should be clear - many people have tried to help in this thread; Stardock representatives included.

Baring any in-game restrictions (tech research, etc), my input would be to rename:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\DLC

to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\DLC.OLD

Then do a verify:

This is going to take some time...

Let us know and thank you for your patience...

Hi.

Thank you for the input, but this didn't help either. Still the same issue. I guess, and hope, you can understand my frustration regarding this. As you can see I have just about anything installed. Is there something I'm missing?

I don't see the Crusade expansion listed.  If you own it, it should be listed.  It doesn't matter if it is installed or not, it should be listed.

Your comments indicate that you did this:

rename:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\DLC
to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\DLC.OLD

Then do a verify:

That should have installed the Crusade expansion if you own it.

Now, go back to that location and open the DLC folder.  The contents should look something like this.

Notice the EXP2_Crusade folder.  If you don't have that, then that is the problem.  It probably  means you don't own it.  Do you know for sure that you bought it or didn't buy it?

It looks like your original purchase was JUST the Retribution expansion (which I guess includes the base game?)  Which means you do not have Crusade.  That is most certainly required, for the governments, the resources, and also some of the DLC won't even work if you don't have Crusade.

I hate to be the one to say that you'll have to buy even more, but it does look that way.

Crusade was not one of the DLCs I bought. Someone in this thread said it was included in Retribution. Apparently that was not the case. Hopefully that is all I need. I don't mind supporting Stardock. They make awesome games, but... You know...

I was the one who said it, because I misunderstood.  Had you bought the base game, Crusade would have been included.  You bought just the Retribution expansion, which does not include it.

At some point they made Crusade, Retribution and Mega Events free with the base game. I'm not sure when that was, but if you got it before that change, that  might be the problem.

Does anyone know when that was?

A year ago perhaps. Not quite sure. How come?

Since you seem to have purchased through Steam, I cannot see when you purchased.

However, I have added the Crusade expansion to your SD account, there is a Steam key there for it.

I cannot be certain it will work, however, to add it.

Let us know.
