Sir Sean Connery who introduced Ian Fleming's character, James Bond to the world has passed. He also portrayed roles in Indiana Jones films and The Hunt for Red October. He was unwell for some time, per his family. He passed in his sleep at age 90 years.

The hero of my youth is irrevocably gone.

Well done, Sean Connery. Rest in peace.

Damn another great has passed.  He also played in the untouchables, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Etrapment and Presidio.  I guess you can tell I was a Fan.  He will be missed. RIP Sean.

Curtis, Moore, Wyngarde, Blackman, Rigg, now Connery! Add to that famous list my own personal list of late and lamented friends and family, and I realise that my childhood is a mere memory kept alive only by dint of my still active synapses! So sad. I hope they all R. very much In P!
