Can I play on my laptop?

I just switched from a really old mac to an asus chromebook, and I want to play PM2020. Unfortunately, I spent more than a day trying to figure out how to download Steam, and when I finally did, it said I couldn't play PM2020 on my new pc. Is there any conceivable way that I can play? I don't mind doing something weird or random, just please help (of course if there's no way, that's fine)!

Any reason why you couldn't play PM2020? It's not a game that demands a lot from a computer

All I know is that it said I couldn't. I think it may not be supported by ChromeOS.
