Known issues:

For any issues that are reported, and that can be reproduced \ verified, they will be listed as 'known issues' and itemized here.

  • If you also have Windowblinds installed, and when a Curtains skin is applied, the Start10 start button control by Windowblinds is not released. You can't go into Start10 and change the start button - one needs to go into Windowblinds and un-tick "Always use the OS start button rather than the style

Tested on my system. And that something to do with OldNewExplorer. Try unselect "Use command bar instead of Ribbon" on OldNewExplorer and see if it help.

Was it just with that one style?

It may be the margins are set incorrectly.

It seems that you are exactly correct. After enabling the glass feature in OldNew Explorer , I tested my entire collection of Curtains and it was only  the "Arrow" skin that has the transparency issue. Is there any way I can repair that feature without disabling the glass effect ?

Transparency and translucency are not working with the taskbar (Windows 10 2004)

The styles translucent25 and transparency do not modify the taskbar, although the title bars apply correctly.

Are you running Start10 or anything else which might impact the taskbar?

Hi

Dunno if it does care ( as Start 10 is provided at Stardock as start menu alternative ) , but seems there is an issue with RC2 and startisback , prevent this one to load correctly at desktop boot . This prevent then some other progs to load from startup folders ( 7taskbar tweaker for example )

Event reproduced several times compared to beta 6 and 2004 version ( 20h1 and 20h2 )

In what way does it not load up correctly?  (Curtains or StartIsBack?)  Also is there anything in the event log about explorer crashing and if so what does it say?

It is our intention that where possible it should work with everything, but it is possible certain applications may do things which are simply unsupportable.

Hi,

I'm running the latest version of Start 10 (1.94)

I also uninstalled Start 10 and rebooted and the issue still occurred.

The only things that have changed since I was last able to get those skins to work correctly (taskbar) was before the 2004 update to Windows 10, and of course the new Nvidia driver. But this is a fresh install of Windows 10 2004 I'm also using Windows Defender right now (I know that security programs can cause issues)

One other thing of note, sometimes, say when I apply transparency25 and the taskbar does not change, if I click on another Curtains skin, very briefly I'll see the taskbar like it should have been for a split second before changing to the other skin's style.

This is Statisback which popups a message at desktop boot ( " press esc to prevent SIB from loading " ). Curtains loads correctly but this issue disable some progs from starting ( in startup folder )

for example 7 taskbar tweaker beta.

Found a small one:
The windows buttons on the curtains window itself are not loosing focus when moving the mouse down (inside the window).

Tested with the "Arrow" theme.

This seems to be a bug in Windows itself as the same happens with the Start 10 config without curtains running,

We have worked around it for the next update in the curtains config.
