I recently installed a newer version(V2.3) i got from a buddy, but it doesn't want to launch. It shows the logo screen, but as soon as it switches to load game, i get a box that says the game seems to have crashed. No error in debug file.
Ive tried everything i could find on these forums.
I play offline, no steam.
Any new suggestions?
2.3 is the classic version. Load another one.go to your beta pick opt out of all betas.
I had the game up until the mercenaries expansion, a friend gave me an iso file with the game and all dlc’s up till crusade i think.
Game worked fine before, after installing the new one from buddy, no luck.
It looks like it crashed as the game tries to launch.
Also get a error msg from gcv3 box, saying “it looks like the game crashed”
it sends the crash file auto to stardock and then also directs me to stardock online forum. So im not actually getting an error code or anything to go on to see why it crashing. No debug info on this either.
Well, from your explanation the problem appears to be that it is a pirated copy. I suggest getting the legit version by buying it.
