Stoke boss Pulis to ring the changes?

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is expected to bring back Gerry Taggart and Ade Akinbiyi into the first team for tomorrow's fixture against Wimbledon.

The stalwart defender Taggart was absent from Tuesday's fixture due to Leicester City wishing him to be available for them should they require his services back at the Walker's Stadium, while Akinbiyi was absent due to a leg injury sustained during the previous match against Derby County at the Britannia Stadium.

Pulis is hoping that tomorrows fixture will make up for the defeat in mid-week against the same team, in the FA Cup. Wimbledon, currently lying bottom of the First Division, won that game 1-0, but Pulis later admitted that his team performed disappointingly, and so he will no doubt be hoping for a better performance from all his players, as the team look to build on their current run of good form in the League which has seen them move 12 points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, in other news, Stoke have loaned Welsh defender Gareth Owen to second division Oldham Athletic, while youth striker Lawrence Hall has moved on a loan contract to non-league Gresley Rovers. Both players will be on loan for a month.
