Sounds good. Making a clean install now, and will add 10-20 cursor packs at a time and report back here when I have used the computer for a few hours with the new version.

After deleting a cursor using the CursorFX UI, current cursor set & colour preset are lost.
The loading time is still a bit high with a lot of cursors installed, but that's no big deal.
Tried to remove all but the one applied at the moment (Svelte) using explorer, no cursors show in the UI (The layout becomes empty)
Cursors no loger show in screenshots.

Yrgal,

Thank you for the responsive feedback...

What is 'a lot' - we tested with several hundred and was able to load the UI in under a second.

Cursors no loger show in screenshots.

That is actually intended as neither does the Windows default cursor.  CFX2 really should have been this way as well.

We were able to reproduce this and I will log it:

While there is some ambiguity on what you expect here, we are going to think this one over on how it should work as how it is now might not be the best way (but may be ;))

Again, thank you for the feedback, Yrgal.

Well, around 200 is a lot, I think and takes 7-9 seconds to start. Could it be that a large amount of my cursors are in the old format (CurXPTheme)?

For the record, CursorFX start almost instantly with only the default curor sets installed.

That sounds good to me.  My 500 was taking several minutes, or didn't load at all.  7-9 seconds I would be ecstatic!

Gonna get on this tomorrow!!

Could either / both of you zip up your themes dir, upload them to a cloud storage location (GoogleDrive, OneDrive, DropBox) and PM me a private link to them?  Ill test with what you send.

Thank you.

There's a problem with size. I have to set it each time I reboot or change cursors.

There's a problem with size. I have to set it each time I reboot or change cursors.

Cursor settings changes are not applied to any cursor you switch to (nor would that be desirable in many cases because of the cursor characteristics).  However, a case could be made to have them kept for a particular cursor even after you have applied others.  That, however, will not make it to a released version of CFX4 but will defiantly be considered for a future update.

As for the reboot, I did make a size change to a cursor, reboot, and it kept that size change.  On your About menu in CFX, is the version j105:

I found it to be 6ish seconds with what you sent me.  Ill see what the devs say.

Thank you for the files.

This is the same as what I noted in Reply #10. That will not be saved in between changing cursors.

The loading time is still a bit high with a lot of cursors installed, but that's no big deal.

Just tested an internal build, with both of your theme directories, and the load times are improved (yours now actually loads RND).

Yargal, with your high cursor count, your time was cut in half - about 3 seconds.  RND, your very high count, it was under 9 seconds.

The fix, with another not noted here, will be part of the general release.

Thank you both for the time to review and for your help.

That is very acceptable. And I would think that the loading time isn't the biggest issue for RND either. After all, most of us aren't changing the cursors every five minutes.

And, you're welcome. Glad to help.

I shall try again, Sean.   Just for you....  :)

Where can I get this internal build, or am I waiting for it's release?

I'm not interested in any version other than the one Sean tested with my files.  Thanks, Mike.  Guess I'll wait.
