How To Add Soundpackages (stored locally)

If you double click on xxx.soundpack files. Soundpackager will import it directly.

Hi,

I already tried double-clicking on the xxx.soundpack files.
When I opened Sound packager afterward I only see the Default Sounds pack visible in the Local windows of the Sound packs.
I tried also to open the files from within another folder. No success.

OS >> Windows 10 PRO (EN)
Installation Path >> C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\
Underlying folders >> Fences | Groupy | IconPackager | SoundPackager | Tiles

I do not understand myself why it isn't working for me.

Need to know more.

1) Please use Winver.exe for full Windows 10 version numbers.

2) If you right click on the xx.soundpack file do you get the "Install Stardock SoundPackager Sound pack" option?

3) Please post a screenshot of the Soundpackager options.

The folder for soundpackages should be C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Stardock\SoundPackager

I am unsure why you have a d:\stardock\soundpackager folder for things?

There is the possibility to change the data location of the [My Documents] folder.
I use a whole drive (D) as My Document folder. So that is the reason I have them there.
It should be a pity if that's the reason for the installation failure. I hope not.

I am facing the same problem. But when I double click on xxx.soundpack files. Soundpackager  import it directly.

If you install the Sound Packager app to it's default location

then as you download a pack just double click on it and it will

imported into the app . Go to the app and click on that pack and

it loads it .

If you want Enhanced sounds in that pack to play also go to settings

and make sure there is a check marked in apply Enhanced Sounds .

*** If you have an issue where a pack didn't load itself then post a link

here to that pack so we can check that pack to see if there is an issue

with a single pack .

I've got the same problem - I can't get the sounds to change.  Win 10 Build 1909 (1863.720).  Right click says "Install..." which I do and nothing changes.  Neither does double click.

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

When you right click on files names xxx.soundpack does the menu I post in Reply#3 shows up? If it does and if that sound have not yet installed it will be install into your soundpackager once you choose The "install Soundpack sound pack".

You will need to open up the soundpackager and select that sound pack and click on Apply Sound pack button to apply it. When you click the Apply sound pack button, a short sample sound will be play. For example if you choose Aquarium pack. A short bubble sound will be play after you press that button.

Please try it and report back.

When I right click on the soundpack the menu shows up the way your image illustrates.  However, clicking on that produces NO changes in SoundPackager - the only sounds I can select (in Sound Packager) are the Windows default sounds.  There is no alternative choice.

I tried dragging and dropping and that doesn't work at all.

Hello, 'troubled' & 'supportive' people,

This problem I mentioned already 2 weeks ago.
I tried every possible manner to make it work.
Finally, I gave up and uninstalled Sound Packager.
It hasn't any sense to install software that is not working correctly and fully.
The main purpose of SoundPackager is to be able to install and use the sounds you personally want.
If the software fails then it is useless to have it installed.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Not currently, no.

For any that are not showing in the UI, do they actually exist here?

\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Stardock\SoundPackager\SoundPacks

If not automatically from double-clicking, if you manually move them there do they then show in the UI after you close and re-open it after you verify they are there?
