I am interested in this game, but am confused as to which version I need to purchase. I am looking at purchasing the Rebellion package with the soundtrack on Steam. I and a friend are looking forward to multiplayer over his LAN. If I am not mistaken, is the Rebellion a stand alone version with the base game and all the previous expansions? Or is Rebellion just a expansion and I need to purchase the Trinity or Ultimate version from Steam?

Rebellion is the latest and greatest version of the game. There are some DLCs on top of that but are not necessary to just start playing. Trinity is a previous version of the game that is more for legacy players.
