Pubnlisher Weekend Sale

Should be FIRST of month, not last

For many working people (myself included) the end of the month is the absolute worst time for a sale like this. We pay our various bills, and by the end of the month, the average working man (or woman) is for all ways and means broke. Doing this as you do is potentially costing you an enormous amount of revenue, and even worse, pushing the feelings of your community towards negativity, which is a potential death sentence.

Have your sales at the FIRST of a month, by the 5th. This will allow us to put this purchase in the budget, which I can almost guarantee will increase sales, and revenue.

With all due respect, I, and many like me, have all our bills due at the first of the month, but get paid twice a month.  I have more "spending" money near the end of the month.

Yes, I truly understand. For well over 40 yrs this was my situation as well. I was a professional Chef de Cuisine, and money was far less of a problem than it is now. You see, I have cancer and have been forced onto Disability in order to pay medical bills. My deposit comes on the 3rd. I hope that I have not offended anyone here, I truly do. Stardock is still by far my favorite and most respected company; the people such as yourself perhaps even more so.

I see nothing to be offended by.  I too, am sorry for your situation.

There are several members of this forum that have cancer, and a few we have already lost to cancer.

I wish you well, sir. fight the good fight.

Yes, I truly understand. For well over 40 yrs this was my situation as well.

For 41 of my 46 years in Architecture I was self-employed....which effectively translates as "sometimes-you-have-money-sometimes-you-don't" ...so sales at either end of a month were always hit-or-miss....and I probably missed more than most would.  Add to that a housing loan that at one stage made it to 17.5% interest and 'just' living was hit-and-miss.

But you make do.  The timing of a sale will always be less than ideal for one group or other...;)

Hello JAFO. I understand about housing loans. I used to have a home in Moore, Oklahoma. On May 20, 2013 a class 5 tornado came through and vaporized it. I suppose I was a bit lucky; I am a Chef and was working at my restaurant in Norman OK at the time. I did not have nearly enough insurance to cover it; the bank is still hounding me.

Everyone's situation is different. For me it's around the first half of the month I have less money. But , we appreciate all of the support folks bring no matter their circumstances even if it's just reposting the sale or letting a friend know they can pick one of our products up at a discounted price :)

I'm sorry to hear about your situation Mistralok. Cancer is truly the worst and takes too much from us. I think I speak for everyone here at Stardock when I say no one is here is offended and you should take care of yourself first and foremost. No offense taken, focus on slaying this dragon.
