sysmetrix not loading the new one i download

I cant seem to be able to get new skins to show up in the config settings so that i can use them i download them and then unzip them to the metrix theme folder am i doing somthing wrong I have only had it a couple days and just cant seem to get them to work only the one's that came with the program will

Make sure the themes you are looking for are not in a sub-folder.Drag them out ot the sub-folder to the themes folder.

Also, make sure to name the folder exactly the same as the main background .bmp.

I just got done formatting and for some reason with SysMetrix 2, there is a nice sized white block in the top left hand corner with the Transilvania skin .

First time using Sysmetrix 2 and it seems to be only with this one although it's the only one I downloaded and the others are the default available themes. It's fine with the first version of Sysmetrix.

yes I am downloading to my program files then when it is done i hit open it then comes up in the object zip window i extraxt it to themes but no luck in showing up there I can see the images of it it in the theams folder but it is not in the list for me to chose from >

Maximumq, why don't you unzip to your desktop and see what is happening that way. Then if you get a folder there, open it and see if you have a subfolder or the images. If you have the images and the sysmetrix ini file, then drag the folder to your theme folder and then see if it shows in the skin chooser for sysmetrix.

Also you may want to open your themes folder and see what you have in there. I bet that is your problem. Either your skins aren't being unzipped to the proper folder or there is a subfolder in your theme folder where the sysmetrix files are being unzipped to. I just create a default unzip folder and I unzip everything to that folder. Then I can validate all files myself and move them myself to where they need to be. That would totally solve your problem I believe.


DJ, I had the same problem with the Transilvania skin. It has nothing to do with formatting or the sysmetrix version. It is the skin. The problem is that the skin is using a code for an option that it isn't using. You can delete it in the configuration. If you can't find it, I can delete mine and reinstall it and let you know exactly what the wrong code is.
