I noticed it's still using Win 10 button image. I can go into personalization/colors and change the color of the button.

Yes I do. I was just reporting that WB is ignoring the taskbar buttons and that Win 10 still had control over them. Hoping that one of our moderators would see this and report it back to Stardock.

Windowblinds 10.8 is supposed to be compatible with the May update. Obviously title bar buttons are an issue that need to be addressed. I can live with the title bar buttons for now. Stardock needs to update WB. I'm not rolling back anything because it's a hassle man.

As Roseanne Rosanna Danna said: "Well, Jane, it just goes to show you, it's always something — if it ain't one thing, it's another."

WindowBlinds (and Skinstudio) needs a complete overhaul to be working no matter what M$ comes up with (for most part) or there will need to be an update every 3 weeks,
Worth saying again :cylon:

Is there any clue as to when WB is going to be fixed to work with the May update? More and more people are going to be getting the May update. There's the buttons on the taskbar. There's the dark font on some skins for the date/time. Any idea as to when a update for WB will be available to fix these problems?

Unfortunately our time machine is currently broken so we cannot fix things Microsoft have yet to break :)

For example in Windows 1903 Microsoft added new theme parts for Light taskbar mode.

We have an internal build addressing the taskbar buttons and I am sure once this goes through QA it will be released.

It is worth noting that the current build does work, it is simply that one small part of the skin isn't being applied and instead is using the default OS theme instead.

Taskbar buttons & tray clock is two small parts, not one, but they are quite essential parts and one of the main reasons many use Windowblinds. How can this come as a surprise to the developers at Stardock? 1903 has been available for a long time for devs. Maybe you're not using Windowblinds... XD

Ok guys, my main rig will not load explorer at startup after installing 1903. I have to go into task manager and manually launch explorer every boot. Rolling back.  Just reporting.

I suspect that's unrelated to Windowblinds at least.

My recommendation to anyone is don't upgrade quickly on these things unless it fixes something you are hitting.  The last windows update had some nasty bugs people were caught out by.

With 1903 you should be able to defer it for 6 months I think which is great news as you can let others be guinea pigs :)

I will say this. I have 9 PCs here, all but one has 1903 with zero issues.   This main rig I call my Stardock rig, I had to roll back.

I'm not saying that it is windowblinds, or anything Stardock related, but something was stopping explorer from loading.

So your Taskies work ?? <_<

I don't have windowblinds on all my rigs, Andy. Some of them are "for sale" machines. I build custom gaming machines.

My laptop has windowblinds on it, and I do have the taskbar button issue. So, I sit corrected.

I was wondering why I wasn't seeing the 1903 update.  I see it's in that "Check for updates" button state.  I swore off the "Check for updates" button after our friend warned us that Microsoft considers anyone who clicks on that button to be a "seeker" who wants not-quite-ready-for-primetime updates (without really telling anyone that).  Just in case anyone doesn't know or has forgotten.

I have a crappy old HP Desktop from 2011. It came with win8. I've been running win10 since it was a freebie. No major problems. As I said this is an old under powered desktop. I can't run Dreams on this thing so Dreams don't reside here. The 1903 update took a long time but it seems to be just fine. The only issues I see with WB are the taskbar buttons and sometimes the dark date/time which I tried fixing in SkinStudio but couldn't. I also have to fix skins which should have transparency but don't. I apply the fix that Redneck Dude came up with.

These are issues which I think Stardock should fix.

Quoting Neil Banfield,

What about transparency in skins needs fixing?

You can already force WindowBlinds to use the older style blur on later Windows 10 releases if you wish in 10.8.

WindowFX animations not impacting blurred start menus is normal.
