Inquiry About Purchase

Expiration Inquiry

First of all, apologies in advance, I don't know which Category this thread would belong to as there is an overwhelming amount of them.

I bought Start8 when Windows 8 came out because, well, Windows 8...

It made Windows 8 bearable.

I built a desktop with Windows 10 Pro, remembering Start8 I came back to Stardock to find out Start10 is available and decided I would purchase that as well.
But then I found an offer I couldn't refuse: Object Desktop, packaged with Start10 along with 20+ other downloads, for a great price.  I decided to get it.

I always fail to read the fine print.  I thought this would allow me indefinite access to all of this software but it says that it'll expire a year from now...

Will I have to, then, spend $30 or more if the price inflates by then?  Don't get me wrong, this is some great software that doesn't impact the performance of my computer when multi-tasking and gaming while making the experience a lot more immersive, but I don't know if I will want to purchase all of the software again a year from now.

Also, is Launch compatible with Windows 10?  It downloaded and installed Launch but when I run Launch it just pops up a Mac-esque Dock and the standard Windows 10 start menu opens but when I click off it closes the process.

A subscription to ObjectDesktop allows you to have free updates to the included apps for one year after purchase. The software does not expire and are yours to keep for as long as you wish.

****Note**** Be sure to make copies of the apps as this will be the only way to reinstall them should you let your subscription lapse.

Purchasers of ObjectDesktop receive a discount to renew their subscription.

Oh, so that's 365 days of updates I'm entitled to?

So I'll keep the software but won't be able to update the software pass the 365th day if I do not renew it?

That works for me.

About Launch, I can't seem to get it to work.  It'll open but closes if I click anywhere other than where the dock is located and it'll close the process entirely.  I can post a screenshot of it once I get home from work.

I believe "Launch" only work in Tablet Mode.

Thank you,

Ah, what a shame.  One of the only features I like of the MacOS was the dock and was hoping to find a good alternative to the very outdated Rocket Dock.

Thanks.
